Instead of fixing a collapsing healthcare system, those in power are busy threatening doctors, politicising institutions and protecting incompetence.

Thousands of doctors are leaving Pakistan every year because of poor working conditions, insecurity, low salaries and lack of opportunity.

We are driving away the very people who save lives.

This was not merely a tragedy.

This was criminal negligence and a catastrophic failure of governance.

There must be accountability.

Not another inquiry committee.
Not another press release.
Not another coverup.

Qays ibn Mushir al-Saydawi was martyred in Kufa while the caravan moved through the desert stations of Hajir and Khuzaymiyyah.

He had torn the letter so no one else would suffer. He had used the pulpit they gave him to condemn them. He had chosen death so his tongue would not betray his Imam.

And his Imam, who already knew, continued walking forward anyway.

Because that is what testimony looks like when it is absolute.

Step by step. Station by station. The caravan moves.

16th/17th Dhu al Hijjah. 60 AH.

The third and fourth stations. Hajir and Khuzaymiyyah.

The caravan of Imam Hussain AS has moved deeper into the central desert. The familiar landmarks of the Hijaz have faded behind them. The terrain is harder now. Water sources are further apart. The sun is unrelenting. The distances between stations stretch longer with each passing day.

And yet in this silence, the Imam sits down and writes a letter.

It is recorded in Kitab al-Irshad by Shaykh al-Mufid, and preserved in Nafasul Mahmum by Shaykh Abbas Qummi, that when the Imam reached Hajir in Batn al-Ummah, he dispatched his trusted companion Qays ibn Mushir al-Saydawi toward Kufa carrying a letter to the believers there.

The letter began with these words:

"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. From Husayn ibn Ali to his believing and Muslim brothers. I praise Allah Almighty, besides Whom there is no other deity. I have received the letter from Muslim ibn Aqeel informing me of the fairness of your intentions and the compliance of your noblemen to assist us. I invoke Allah that He may reward you with the greatest reward. I have left Makkah on Tuesday the eighth of Zilhajj. When my messenger reaches you, hasten your preparations, for I shall reach you within some days."

Read those words carefully.

To the ordinary eye this reads as a letter written in hope, by a man who believed his messenger was alive and his supporters were waiting. But the Imams of the Ahlulbayt were not ordinary men. They carried ilm e ladunni, divinely granted knowledge, a gift that did not depend on news arriving by horse or messenger. The Masoomeen knew what they knew through a channel beyond ordinary human awareness.

Which means the Imam wrote this letter in full knowledge of what had already happened in Kufa.

He knew Muslim ibn Aqeel had been martyred. He knew Hani ibn Urwa had been killed. He knew the streets that had once carried the voices of 18,000 pledging allegiance were now silent with fear and betrayal.

He wrote anyway.

Because this letter was not written out of hope. It was written as hujjah. As proof. As testimony before Allah and before history that the Imam had answered the call of his people, that he had reached out, that he had given every chance, that what followed could never be called a miscalculation or a political gamble. Every word of that letter is a brick in the argument that will stand until the Day of Judgment. The Imam was not walking into a trap. He was walking into a testimony.

Qays ibn Mushir took that letter and rode hard toward Kufa. He was a noble and courageous man from the tribe of Saydawa, deeply devoted to the Ahlulbayt. He had carried messages between the Imam and Muslim ibn Aqeel before, risking his life each time with calm certainty.

This time he would not return.

He was arrested at Qadisiyyah by the forces of Ibn Ziyad. Before they could seize the letter he was carrying, he tore it apart with his own hands so no name on it could be used against anyone in Kufa.

He was brought before Ibn Ziyad, who offered him his life in exchange for one thing. Go to the pulpit of the mosque. Curse Hussain ibn Ali. Denounce him publicly before the people of Kufa. Do that, and you may live.

Qays ibn Mushir climbed the pulpit.

He looked out at the crowd gathered below him. He looked at Ibn Ziyad. And then he opened his mouth and said:

"O people of Kufa. I am the messenger of Imam Hussain ibn Ali. I declare before you that Hussain, the grandson of our Holy Prophet, is the best man alive today."

Then he turned his face toward Ibn Ziyad and called the curse of Allah upon him and upon Yazid, before the entire assembly, with full knowledge of what would follow.

Ibn Ziyad ordered him thrown from the roof of the palace.

According to al-Tabari and Kitab al-Irshad, Qays survived the fall with broken bones. Ibn Ziyad then ordered his men to finish him on the ground.

10th Dhu al Hijjah. Eid al Adha. The Day of Sacrifice.

Eid Mubarak to all.

Across the Muslim world, millions celebrate Eid al Adha. Homes are filled with families, laughter, food, and the spirit of Qurbani. Believers remember the moment when Prophet Ibrahim AS raised the knife over his beloved son Ismail AS, fully surrendered to the command of Allah. But Allah stopped the sacrifice.

The Quran tells us: "And We ransomed him with a Great Sacrifice." (Surah al Saffat 37:107)

Yet today, deep in the silent desert of the Hijaz, another caravan moves forward under the burning sun. And this time, the sacrifice will not be stopped.

On this 10th of Dhu al Hijjah, 60 AH, Imam Hussain AS, the grandson of the Prophet ﷺ, journeys farther away from Makkah with his family and loyal companions. There are no Eid celebrations in the camp of Hussain. No slaughtered animals. No gatherings. No feast. Only dust. Only heat. Only silence. And the unbearable weight of destiny.

The grand children and family members of the Prophet ﷺ were moving toward an unknown fate while the Ummah celebrated Eid.

The sacrifice of Ibrahim AS was a test of willingness. The sacrifice of Hussain AS would become the complete manifestation of that willingness.

Ibrahim AS was asked to sacrifice one son. Hussain AS would sacrifice brothers, sons, nephews, companions, and finally himself. Ibrahim's knife was stopped by divine mercy.

At Karbala, no sword would be stopped.

And perhaps this is why generations of scholars reflected upon the meaning of ذبحٍ عظیم - the Great Sacrifice.

The greater sacrifice was still to come.

Step by step, the Caravan of Hussain now moves toward that altar. While pilgrims complete their Hajj and return home forgiven, Mola Hussain AS walks toward a sacrifice that would preserve the moral soul of Islam itself.

Peace be upon the Caravan that gave everything so truth could survive.

This moment highlights a grand theme of history: the willingness of the Mola Hussain AS to sacrifice his own safety and preserve the sacred Kaaba, while Yazid who was by force holding power illegally was willing to desecrate the sacred to preserve his position. 4/4

Mola Hussain AS is fully aware of the conspiracy. He realizes that the sanctity of the Holy Kaaba, where even harming an animal is strictly forbidden, is about to be violated with his blood.

the safest place on Earth to face an uncertain desert.
He chose sacrifice over safety, proving that rituals without truth and justice lose their soul.

The Imam said it was better to be killed outside the sanctuary than have the sanctity of the Kaaba violated with his blood.
But at the same time in Kufa, Ubaydullah ibn Ziyad had sealed the roads, trapped people under terror, and began crushing them. 2/3

Makkah stood ready for Hajj, but Imam Hussain AS made shocking announcement in a historical public address: He will not complete the Hajj rituals and is leaving for Iraq.

But this cannot go without being said.

They couldn’t beat you at the ballot. So they illegally incarcerated you. They tried to finish your party. They even took away the symbol. When that didn’t work, they stole the whole election.

“And do not consume one another’s wealth unjustly, nor give bribes to authorities so that you may knowingly consume a portion of others’ wealth sinfully.”
(Al-Baqarah 2:188)

Gul Plaza did not burn by accident. It burned after 18 years of theft, corruption, and criminal neglect in Sindh, where SBCA functions as a bribe factory, illegal buildings are approved without fire safety, and outdated systems are ignored until people die.

The truth is stark: Karachi would have been completely helpless if @ImranKhanPTI had not provided 50 fire tenders.

This is not mere mismanagement. This is state-enabled crime.
The blood is on the hands of those who rule and those who protect them.

Rulers who loot are oppressors.
Their enablers are partners.
Silence in the face of corruption is complicity.

Accountability in Islam is not political.
It is moral, legal, and divine.

No Prophet (Peace Be Upon Them) ever claimed immunity.

No Khalifa exempted himself from accountability.

Every divine faith is built on the belief that no soul is above judgment.

Heaven, Hell, and the Day of Reckoning all exist for this reason.

When divine scripture and law exempt no one, then how can a constitution written by man dare to do so?
