One of India's finest editorial cartoonist @satishacharya - will not be visible on @instagram now. His account was withheld in India without notice or reason... on the orders of the Modi Govt.
Satish is not the only one - last month - @IndianExpress reported how the Govt issued one blocking order - on an average - every 68 seconds. Around 1,275 every day. Nearly two lakh lakh such orders between March and June.
With the narrative slipping out of hand - this deletion spree is a desperate effort to stem the rising anger against the Modi regime. Imagine team Chappaneshwar being scared of cartoons now! (Then the same guys will yelp in pain when we sink further on Democracy & FoE ratings)😵💫🤦🏻♂️
Here's hoping some great lawyers connect with @satishacharya and challenge this in court.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
So, this is how Modi ji won Delhi. By massively tampering with the voter lists.
Congratulations Modi ji for killing Indian democracy
Happy birthday
@narendramodi
INTERESTING: SIR row: now Bharat Ratna and one of India’s leading scientists, Prof CNR Rao served notice for name mismatch! Apparently additional ‘F’ in his ‘Prof’ in the 2002 electoral roll! Prof Rao office says it is yet to receive notice. Can common sense be used occasionally @ECISVEEP ???🙏
So doing a Jaliawallah Bagh on fellow citizens?
This new BJP IT Cell team will ensure that whatever little support Modi has left, it will disappear soon also
Both Samay Raina & Kunal Kamra got in trouble for a show in Mumbai's Habitat.
Both of them were harassed by the BJP and pushed into legal turmoil.
One of them compromised, the other one stood tall.
Today, Samay Raina is BJP's darling. He's posing for photos with Devendra Fadnavis, while many other face harassment for making jokes about the Sangh.
On the other hand, Kunal Kamra still stands tall for what he believes in.
Whatever we have today will not stay forever. When the dust settles, people will remember Kamra for protecting every Indian's free speech.
