The article shows that it is important to look at SIGR when studying policy change: SIGR can contribute to policy change and stability. In turn, a certain policy output (reflecting change or stability) can have an impact on the SIGR. 7/8

As a result, the authors find that their mechanism illustrates the interaction between the state and interest groups very well. Lastly, they also identify three restrictions and two exogenous contingencies of the complex mechanism. 6/8

In order to test the mechanism, it is applied to three cases (crisis corporatism 2020/21, alliance building on skilled labour shortages and legislation on human rights due diligence in transnational supply chains). 5/8
