@cydristrasz Unfortunately, due to the ease of gearing and dungeons, the herd has blasted up to the 12-14 bracket and is likely going to stay there.
The pacing feels terrible and if you don't grind like crazy and keep up with the crowd, you're going to have trouble catching up.
@Ainastrasza It's my second least favorite ?? Behind Ky'veza, only because Valeera can't int the fight the way Brann could.
My advice as arms is to save cooldowns at the 65% and 35% mark to kill the add as fast as possible and grab the int poison in case the boss zones you with waves.
@Portergauge I'm confident Decimus will be instrumental in the continued hunt for Xal, with Alleria out of the picture for the time being. He's our only void ally who actually knows how Xal works.
I'd be shocked if he doesn't appear in 12.2
@Ainastrasza Blizz has told this story so many times people can predict it beat for beat. I think at this point, doing literally anything different with this character dynamic would be a surprising and even welcome twist.
We all know they're gonna kill Turalyon to save Alleria next.
@MeesRp It's hard to find an IC reason for any race that existed pre-SL to get along with their old foes.
A few years of ceasefire couldn't realistically change that.
I felt the same with Midnight in Eversong. "Would my Worgen die for these people who hate me?" Certainly not.
@MrGMYT The story was surprisingly the best point of the patch.
The zone itself is not good, it's primarily reused assets and 40-50% of the landmass is featureless mountains.
The dungeon is simple and fun and will likely be a high point of the M+ lineup.
Tier sets are distractingly ugly
@that_kind_oforc We could've subbed her out for Rokhan, who could take the initiative to try and lead Zul'Jan down a better path
Or Geya'rah who also once followed an evil power bent on conquest (Sylvanas) and could have a relatable story.
Instead we get Liadrin who has nothing new to say.
@skymagpie I had a theory early on that Xal was actually a sort of girl failure that bumbled her way into power and would confide to the player that she's in over her head but can't stop now or the Void would eat her alive.
Then Karesh happened and she went "Actually this is all my plan"
@skymagpie Since she's unable to do more than inconvenience people her appearances just mean she's going to be a cryptic and minor nuisance that we kind of just want out of the story so we can hopefully get a villain who can actually be somewhat effective.
@skymagpie WoWs reluctance to kill or even meaningfully maim a character also just makes Xal seem weak as a villain. After multiple expansions the only noteworthy victory she had was killing some profession trainers in Dalaran.
Which ultimately just undermines her as a villain. (1/2)
@Typerighting The actual story is a very nice one off and if it was told during DF or BfA I'd think it fit perfectly.
But in the dead center of the saga, it feels like awkward filler as Blizz pads out the patches because they don't want us to immediately chase Xal.
@that_kind_oforc Quel'thalas is the big elephant in the room for this expansion. Blizzard wants to endear us to the plight of the Amani. But simply can't explain the plught without villainizing the Thalassians.
And Blizzard will not do that during the elf expansion sadly.
@Neasper I hate to side with Garry. But Alleria isn't even useful in HER story. Her greatest achievement was a glancing blow on the Darkheart which was repaired next patch.
Girl got finesses by Gallywix, no chance she can beat an actually competent leader.
@GD1rtbag@ArchonSam I love my bugs, but they're just bugs, our only characters are just slightly bigger bugs. So we don't have much to say regarding the bugs outside "This looks cool" or "We're ultramarines fodder". We did have the Clarence incident at least which was our only meme this decade.
@Illidan2012@MrGMYT What I mean is that you can not place crafting stations in your house aside from a cooking fire. So all the profession themed furniture is purely functionless.
@xin_xvi It's a symptom of just how streamlined everything has become. You skip 90% of the world because Dragonriding ignores terrain. The lack of new meaningful non-cosmetic content means you hit max in a single evening then go back to M+ where half the dungeons are reruns anyways.
@MistweaverLily I'm confident Tazavesh was supposed to be the original capital city in SL but never made it out there door, hence why there are functional mailboxes and AH's inside the city.
