People who believe that only those who are “accomplished” by their own narrow standards deserve seats before kings, intellectuals, or audiences are a different kind of oppressors.
To them, anything that does not glitter is not gold. They forget the older, wiser truth: not all that glitters is gold.

We see this clearly in the way some people compile lists of who is “worthy” to speak at events and who is not. They publicly rank, dismiss, and exclude individuals they personally dislike or whose path they do not consider successful enough. The underlying message is crude and arrogant: if you have not become a lawyer, a doctor, or pursued one of the high-prestige courses, your voice has no place in important rooms.

That thinking is not only wrong; it is oppressive.
Every individual has a role to play in life. Nobody is completely useless. Not everyone is meant to be a lawyer or a doctor. Life deliberately gives us different options, different gifts, and different callings. Some will build with their hands, some will trade, some will teach, some will create, some will serve in quieter ways that never trend. As long as a person’s honest hustle does not harm yours, the only decent response is respect.

The moment we start measuring human worth solely by the glitter of titles, certificates, or public applause or personality dislike, we become the very oppressors we claim to oppose. True intellect and true kingship recognise value even where the surface does not shine.
