Thousands of loyalist fled your nation to remain loyal to the crown, as listed elsewhere in this thread the US has repeatedly failed to take Canada by either military or economic force. Our geography protects us more.

@CountryGardener The federal riding system is population based. 60 percent of Canada's population live in Quebec and Ontario. Provinces also are not homogenous in voting. Calgary for instance tends to vote NDP in a very conservative province. This map is not only irrelevant but grossly misleading
