Friday we successfully tested the Dry Riser with the help of Cornwall Fire Rescue Service. Brilliant partnership working.
All went as planned, working to keep RCHT safe.

Face fitted PPE is only as good as the fit. Remember Fit Check. Every time. No beards or facial stubble. Damp damaged or uncomfortable mask? change it properly. Keep safe and keep others safe. @SafeHealthyRCHT@RCHTWeCare
Without the “back room” crew we are not a team. In it together and all for one and one for all. Stay safe and look after all our brilliant staff @RCHTWeCare@RCHTVoluntarySv@rcht
Big thank you to everyone who has assisted @SafeHealthyRCHT with the fit tests this week. And an even bigger thank you to all the staff who have waited patiently and put up with our rubbish jokes and accidental innuendos.
Love to all. Proud to be part of the team @RCHTWeCare
A great big thanks to James of JNC safety Services in threemilestone offering his services for free and the kit he used. All to assist the fit test process. Keeping our staff safe keeping others healthy. #NHSstaff@RCHTWeCare@SafeHealthyRCHT.
Fit testing requires a clean shaven face folks.
That means no stubble. Thanks everyone for their patience as they waited for the team to work through the numbers.

Just giving a big thank you to all the @RCHTWeCare team working hard in the background of the Trust to keep the frontline teams of carers giving our Brilliant care. Proud to be part of the team. @RchtWellness@LandDRCHT@RCHTVoluntarySv
Disposing of Lithium button batteries? Please do it properly and safely. Sticky tape over both ends of the battery will prevent a shorting and reduce the fire risk. Then dispose in a designated battery bin. @SafeHealthyRCHT@RCHTWeCare@RchtWellness@rcht
We have responded to a number of serious collisions over the past few days resulting in life changing and in one case fatal injuries.
We ask everyone to take extra care when you are driving. Don't take the risk. Always drive to the condition of the road and keep your speed down.
We have a had a cup placed in a Microwave resulting in a minor incident on a ward.
AND
An injury from another cup that got over heated in a microwave because of the metal in the glaze.
@RchtWellness@RCHTWeCare@SafeHealthyRCHT
"Paper cup" not suitable for microwave use.
Always check that the cup/mug/receptacle/vessel/container is "suitable for microwave use"
otherwise we could have a fire/conflagration/blaze/flames.
sorry I have eaten a thesaurus but the point still stands/holds up...
@RCHTWeCare
Please think twice before using your car horn in the Hospital grounds. If someone is startled whilst having a scan then we might have to start all over again. Even the ambulances stop their sirens on site.
