Alcohol is ruining lives and families.😢
And many times we just watch until it’s too late.
We need to do something.
Should governments ban some forms of alcohol?
📌 Kabale
Earlier today, @lgrb_uganda partnered @MinofHealthUG 's Mental Health and Control of Substance Abuse Division to engage the Mental Health Unit at Kabale Regional Referral Hospital on the importance of early support and intervention in preventing and addressing problem gambling (gaming addiction).
"We are currently treating a patient with a gambling problem in our unit. Clinical treatment is good. However, family support is deeply needed." Said the Psychiatric Nurse.
We believe that every conversation about Responsible Gaming can change a life and every action to support a player matters!

In 2018, former photojournalist James Akena was attacked by military officers while on assignment in Kampala. The assault changed the course of his life and career.
Today, James is a bartender.
