Every employer should be disability inclusive. But they aren’t.
❓ What is a disability inclusive employer? There’s a government scheme that ensures disabled individuals feel valued and empowered to participate fully in the workplace. If your company signs up to this, they receive a disability confident certificate.
❓ Is the company you work for disability inclusive? Everyone has the right to feel safe and like their needs are met in the workplace. If the company you work for isn’t disability inclusive, we can help you persuade them…
…Here are some reasons why they should be:
✅ Disabled people bring a diverse range of skills to the workplace. Studies show that a more diverse workplace can increase innovation, production and ultimately, revenue. You bring value to your company when you include disabled people.
✅ Reduce cost of sickness and absence. Life is unpredictable. A longstanding member of your team could suddenly find themselves needing adjustments in the workplace. What if, instead of them having to go off sick long-term, you could provide them with the tools to keep adding value?
✅ Retain loyal and hardworking staff. It stands to reason that disabled people are more likely to stick in a workplace that offers them the adjustments they need. Nearly 1-in-4 people of working age are classed as disabled; can you afford to alienate a quarter of people?
✅ It’s a good thing to do. Giving disabled people the same rights and access to work as non-disabled people is simply the right thing to do.
As a company whose entire purpose is to safeguard vulnerable people, we wouldn’t feel right unless we were safeguarding our employees. We’re proud to be a disability inclusive employer! 💙

A police force has approached us to collaborate on enhancing their approach to delivering Threat to Life (TTL) notices. These notices are issued when there is credible intelligence about a threat to someone’s life. This specific project focuses on young people and their families or caregivers.
Our goal is to dissect the current process, exploring both the formal procedures and the way critical information is communicated to young people and their families. Together, as a community, we’ll workshop actionable improvements, aiming to contribute to a meaningful transformation in policing practices. These recommendations will then be presented to the Force for further discussion and implementation.
The outcome of our collective efforts will support the police force in delivering TTL notices in a way that is inclusive, contextually appropriate, and compassionate—ultimately benefiting the young people and communities affected by these difficult situations.
At SaferNow, we commend this client for demonstrating courageous leadership in seeking external perspectives to ensure that these critical interactions are handled with care and respect.

But that’s not all! We’re also meeting with key policing contacts to gain deeper insights into the local context.
