@pjmeiklem's still getting back on his bike after this. How many don't? How many are too scared to try? How much has #carculture changed our roads, our air, our fitness, our public transport? How much real choice is there nowadays in how we get about? https://t.co/xZlIMQJdMQ
@hikesperthshire@SharonCGrant Recommend complaints en masse to cllr Liz Barrett, Audrey Coates (not sure if she resigned after being charged by police?), Willie Wilson & Sheila McCole.
Had a very useful meeting with PKC at Fairies Rd about the junction w Oakbank Rd. Also about their plans to put a pavement where the trees are (keeping the trees) & to get parents to drop of children here.
If you’re passionate about tackling climate change, you can have a real impact by joining our new Tenant Climate Change Panel. The group will shape local Housing policy on climate change and help other tenants to become more aware and informed about what they can do to help. 1/2

Love the artwork here, but why instruct pedestrians on road safety, not car drivers? On this residential street, cars ignore the 20 mph and often exceed 30 mph. This is back to front for #greentravel@PKPeoplePlace@PerthandKinross @PerthLS @sustperth @SustransScot
Doctors trying to wake up politicians to the fact that the climate crisis is a public health emergency. What have PKC done in Perth? Denied there's a pollution issue and planned a £120m road. #youcouldntmakeitup
Research shows that this sort of design slows traffic down. The speed on our residential streetsis often in excess of 30 mph, never mind 20. Great to see @WDCouncil using imaginative design to promote #activetravel@PKPeoplePlace @PerthLS @PerthandKinross@urbantudesign @Purdoso
@emmabest2000@PKCPlanning @sustperth @PKPeoplePlace Many exceptions & concessions are made for drivers in Perth. We will not see a people-centred city here without political will & it has been repeatedly demonstrated that that is currently lacking here & among cllrs from all parties.
I welcome this opportunity. Only 10 of our 40 P&K councillors are women. Regardless of political affiliation, we need to look at how gender shapes the design of our city, and rebalance some of the decisions. @LoriHughes1987@Dollydi26969910 @PerthLS @C_ADiouri @PKPeoplePlace
Walk & talk last night with Cllrs Ahern & Parrott, Jaqueline from PKC communities team and @may_east researching women, cities & urban planning. May wants to walk with 100 women this summer https://t.co/it5YMRTO41
