@TheLastLeg why are the subtitles on top of the scores when I'm watching #Paralympics2024 . Surely sport for disabled people should include realistic provision for #deaf people so we can see the scores as well as the commentary
@CazMac38@MoranKevn@NHSForthValley We unpaid carers aren't recognised. Was just saying last night, if we was in a paid job we would be signed off sick, told we' re not fit to be in work. I know you are 24/7 no days off, no holidays, no time for you. Who always covers nhs staff sickness & holidays?
@MoranKevn@CazMac38@NHSForthValley How can unpaid carers, parents of ill, disabled and vulnerable children be expected to keep coping, when nhs staff can phone in sick? Freya 's mum can never phone in sick. Can you imagine "sorry Freya, mummy's not here tonight to cover for the missing nhs staff she's ill"
@PerthGazette I believe they also parked in disabled bays and child and family bays in Stirling so maybe if they were more considerate about where they parked, or if PKC and Stirling made provision for them they wouldn't need to upset people
Jim Elder-Woodward, the current chair of our Board, has had an article published arguing for the 'discontents' of the National Care Service to listen to supported people who mostly want it https://t.co/kSdWjCm8Ei
Let's be very clear here - Lack of investment in accessible and inclusive childcare over the years has been a political choice, because seemingly disabled children are just not a priority for the Scottish or UK Government. So much for 'every child matters' https://t.co/dc1Yn5brTz
@devonlass What's the problem? You got your tea and cakes. What does it matter who serves you? I'm confused. Can I have a pot of tea and one of those cakes please. Thank you.
@RachelAdamSmith I had a "friend " who questioned why I continue to provide care for my adult daughter and don't just "put her in a home". The question was not one I wanted to answer to someone who would even ask it. I haven't arranged to meet this person for coffee since.
@Ohholycow@Shubhanna I know I'm a carer but because I used to work in a different local authority to where I live I wasn't eligible to attend any of the carers events organised in conjunction with the local carers centre I was at work so couldn't attend any carers events in my home area.
So, I initially put this together in jest to highlight the things that carers don't want to see during #CarersWeek...but turns out that we may in fact end up with a full hoose! Feel free to post screenshots of any contenders below🙃
