They came from across London and beyond to walk for Kirandeep.

A week on from her death, crowds gathered at Gurdwara Garib Niwaz on Springfield Road before marching along Uxbridge Road in her memory, pausing near the home where the 24-year-old wife and mother tragically lost her life last Sunday. Candles were lit and prayers said as the community held a vigil for her.

Daniel Sean James, 46, has been charged with her murder and the case is before the courts, which limits what can be reported while it’s active. Yesterday wasn’t about the case. It was about her, and a community refusing to let her be forgotten.

Our thoughts remain with Kirandeep’s family. 🙏
