Dear Minister, Your Majesty; Comments that I am unaware of the Facts and Not Informed is a “True Fact “. Which I am sharing with The Nation, that I was Unaware till I Recently went into details of Energy Agreements of these IPP and All Reports by the committee’s. We are All Unaware of How we are being Robbed because of Mismanagement and Corruption in the name of Investors Confidence being shattered. If these 23400 MW IPP contracts of “Take or Pay” are Reviewed, Cancelled or Renegotiated on basis of Electricity Purchased or “Take and Pay “, if we only paid for cheapest Electricity Supplied to National Grid by converting them to Merchant Plants . I am sharing this data again that 52% of these IPP Plants are Government owned, which are producing less than 50% Electricity of their Installed capacity and the cost of this Mismanagement ie 100% capacity payments are being charged from consumers in their Bills .
The other 48 % are owned by 40 Families which are Running at 50 percent capacity but full Rs 2.112 Trillion or Rs 24 per unit has been charged, on Average to consumer in the name of Capacity payments in their bills.
Dear Minister I am sure you are a Competent Minister and fully informed so Pl share with the Public All 106 IPP Data. How many units produced by each of them last year against their Rated capacity, Cost of Fuel paid to them and per unit cost of units produced. Amount of Capacity payment to each of them and cost of per unit of capacity payment from each IPP. Total cost of per unit produced by each of these IPP which is charged to consumers . You are a Politician and Elected representative Serving as Federal Minister.
Sir The Government is of the People, By the People and for the People, Pl share this Data . We want to be Aware and We want to know what we are being charged as consumers . We are Also Aware now that We have to Save Pakistan from these IPPs which are holding back Growth and Development of Pakistan as Actual Electricity cost should be less than Rs 30 per unit which should be charged to consumers not Rs 60 per unit which is being Billed.

The professor was running one of the finest educational institute in city but he was accused by his very own student while teaching in class.
Adding religiosity in educational curriculum begets such problems. Impartial trial without religious pressure must be ensured by SHC.
Notan Lal, a 60-year old professor from Ghotki, was awarded life imprisonment in a false blasphemy charge last year by session court . We demand Sindh High Court to clear Lal from all false charges & serve justice in this case.

PIA has cost USD 7Billion/PKR 1.2Trillion to taxpayers in a decade!
We need different sets of lens to view decisions of bad economic policy making. A lot has been said by usual critiques about SOE's losses but the impact needs to be reassessed to reflect true economic costs of perpetual bailouts from exchequers. Do not underestimate the power of "opportunity cost".
In the table below, PIA's Losses after tax for last 11 years have been taken from their published annual accounts. For simplicity, the then period-end USD rates are plugged to assess USD value of the then losses. Eventually, these losses are funded by tax payers money. Let's compound the numbers to see present values of past losses.
Invariably, GoP is a net borrower; Rupee borrowing at 13% annual rate and USD borrowing at 8% per year is assumed as long-term rates. Conclusive message is the same. Government has had to borrow at - or could have invested in other economic projects with - PKR returns of 13% and USD returns of 8% per year. Absence of political will has cost USD 7B or PKR 1.2T.
Do you know what we could do with that? (any one of the below)
- Build Bhasha Dam with 100% equity
- Set up 100s world class IT universities
- Introduce universal health care
- Survive without USD 7B IMF program (not really)
- Do entire Railways track replacement (ML1)
- Educate 120,000 students (PkR 1M university cost)
- USD 40K scholarships for 175,000 students
- USD 1,000 subsidy on 7M two-wheeler EV
- Set up 80 Shuakat Khanum cancer hospitals (PKR 16B each)
- Set 50 1350-bedded Indus Hospital hospitals (PKR 24B each)
- Fund +7000 startups with USD 1M seed money (imagine a few unicorns)
Point is money can be utilized elsewhere productively as well. Be rational with capital allocation. Money is scarce. It's time to book losses, move on and hand the management to those with forte of restructuring. Yes, there would be one-off job losses or VSSs but lives of millions can be improved either. Stop obsessing over keeping "family silver" alive that has already rusted.

Grateful to @ACTED Pakistan, @USAID_Pakistan and their professional team for immediate intervention in relief and rehabilitation work for flood affectees in Usta Mohammad Balochistan.
A lesson for Pakistan to add value to its commodities for export. Follow the Indonesian example: Make-in-Pakistan. Make more; add more value; maximise export earnings.
