NCLT ruling: Banks take 99.97% haircut in Subhash Chandra Insolvency case.

A group of lenders including LIC Housing Finance will take 99.97% haircut on a claim of Rs 22,006 crore in the insolvency proceedings involving Subhash Chandra. The amount they will get under the repayment plan approved by the NCLT is juwt Rs 6.5 crore. Im other words, that works out to a recovery of about 0.03%.

"In the case of LICHFL, whose admitted claim stood at Rs 1,322.39 crore, the proposed repayment was merely Rs 38,09,294, amounting to approximately 0.028 per cent of its admitted dues. It was contended that such a negligible repayment could not receive the approval of this tribunal," said the NCLT order recording its submission.

Everything written in religion should be interpreted in the context of the times in which it was written, not taken out of context. Even 20 years ago, this was entirely acceptable to a majority of women. Judges: You didn't mention on the menu that you were not using real paneer. You are making people eat something rotten by making them believe it is paneer, and you are saying that an improvement notice should have been given to you?

Restaurant: Sorry, sir. We will not use analogue paneer again.

Judges: You need to suffer for some time. You are making people suffer by using analogue paneer without declaring it. Now, you just suffer for some time.
