For centuries, Indian classical dance and folk-art forms have served as medium of storytelling and instruction. Today, they tell another story, that of inflight safety.
Presenting Air India’s new Safety Film, inspired by the rich and diverse dance traditions of India.

When an Indian says : "I'm spiritual, not religious"
- It's an outcome of subconsciously copying what's "cool" to say in America.
- It's an outcome of misunderstanding the Indian outlook on "religion" (We don't follow a "religion". We study multiple philosophies and are then free to choose our own. There are atheist, meat eating and even occult forms of Indian "religions")
- It arises from a fear of being termed as "old school" or "non-secular". Therefore not accepted by the overly Westernised majority of Indian urban populations.
- Most importantly, it's an indicator of a lack of understanding of Indian philosophy. Nobody's fault here. Any "religion" that arose in India (Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain) needs to be explained more through modern day media.
We Hindus, Jains, Buddhist & Sikhs can judge many modern Indians and choose to revel in our "spiritual egos"
Or we can help spread the teachings of ancient INDIAN philosophy and help more Indians understand that our "religions" are based on "spirituality" anyway.
This by no means is a non-secular post.
Indian philosophies & as many call it - spirituality is meant for everyone.
Take what you have to from it.
Grow through it.
Adapt it into your life.
There are many Indians who spread inter religious hatred in the modern day.
But I assure you. There are many more who wish to spread love.
Whether you're Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain, Jew or anything in between...
The land we live in has gifted us with teachings & philosophies that took lakhs of years to be developed.
If we learn together, we gain together.
Knowledge is never inferior or superior to another form of knowledge. It is simply a means to grow even further.
Learn.
Improve the quality of your life.
And help grow OUR LAND together.

Meghnad Saha was a brilliant Indian physicist and astrophysicist who made significant contributions to the fields of stellar spectra, thermal ionization, nuclear physics, and ionosphere.
He is best known for developing the Saha equation, which relates the ionization state of an element in a star to its temperature and pressure. This equation allows astronomers to determine the temperature and chemical composition of stars by analyzing their spectra.
Saha also worked on various topics such as spectrochemistry, kinetics, nuclear fusion, and solar physics. He was a pioneer in nuclear physics in India and founded the Institute of Nuclear Physics in Calcutta. He also contributed to the development of science education and research in India. He was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1927 and as a member of the Indian Parliament in 1952.
He wrote several books and papers on physics, astrophysics, and science policy.
He was a visionary scientist who had a profound impact on the advancement of science in India and the world. He was also a social reformer who advocated for scientific temper, secularism, and humanism. He died in 1956 at the age of 62.

Oppenheimer's famous phrase, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds," is a reference to a verse from the Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita. The verse in question is from Chapter 11, Verse 32, in which the deity Krishna reveals his divine form to the warrior Arjuna. Witnessing the terrifying sight of Krishna's cosmic form, Arjuna is overwhelmed with awe and fear.
Oppenheimer, who was well-versed in various philosophical and religious texts, including the Bhagavad Gita, reportedly recited this verse upon witnessing the first successful detonation of an atomic bomb during the Trinity test. The quote has since become closely associated with Oppenheimer and his reflections on the destructive power of the atomic bomb.
In the context of Oppenheimer's statement, he was expressing a profound sense of the magnitude and implications of the scientific achievement he had helped bring to fruition. The immense destruction unleashed by the atomic bomb made Oppenheimer acutely aware of the devastating potential of nuclear weapons. His use of the quote from the Bhagavad Gita reflects his introspection on the consequences of his work and the moral responsibility that came with it.
