🛰️Fresh out of KBW2025, we are excited to share a roadmap reveal: Starmesh, the Virtual Satellite Network (VSN) that gives you the privacy and safety you deserve when accessing the Internet.
While we build out our broader physical satellite internet infra, you'll first be able to use Starmesh to browse the web with ultra privacy, and tap into decentralized services like data storage on @WalrusProtocol and DeFi on @Creditcoin
Exploring clean layouts for an organic produce e-commerce flow.
Focused on quick access, intuitive categorization, and consistent CTAs to boost conversions.

Nigeria’s data is stored in the Cloud.
Obviously, right? 🤗
There is however issues because much of it are not stored WITHIN Nigeria😮
Yes, that is a BIG Issue especially in relation to #DataProtection, #NDPR, and the upcoming #GAID framework
So take a walk with me 🧵
Bismillah
It is wildly inaccurate for a muslim to claim—in some egregious manner that I’m unaware of—the permissibility of music when evidences against such stance bristle in aplenty all over books of Hadith.
Although many Muslims are well informed of the Islamic rulings on music, I am willing myself to the assumption that a significant number may not be. Therefore, I will provide an analytical explanation on this topic.
Allah mentions in Qur'an 31 : 6, suratu Luqman
"And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing) to mislead (men) from the path of Allah…"
When you glide through any available translated Qur'an, you will notice that "idle talk" is commonly interpreted as referring to music and singing. This interpretation is primarily derived from the exegesis of the companions, particularly Abdullah ibn mas'uood and Abdullah bn Abbãs, two prominent figures who loomed large on the literary horizon of Tafsir. While both are not the only companions to hold this view, I have yet to come across any text indicating that a single companion held a contrary opinion. If anyone can present evidence of such a differing view, I would likely delete this write-up— e sure for me say una no fit find. As a matter of fact, there are three verses of the Quran translated by Ibn Abbãs, Jaabir, ibn mas'uood on the prohibition of music.
The only point of discussion among the successors of the companions regarding this verse is the meaning of
"يشترى"
("purchase"). Some interpret it as "to buy," while others understand it as "to endorse." This is the only debate surrounding the verse. Interestingly, this debate is called
خلاف التنوع
(difference of variety) and not
خلاف التضاد
(difference of contradiction)
On the long run, both purchase and endorse have same meaning.
To say—in the most exasperating way possible— that those who lived during the era of the noble Prophet had a weak understanding of a specific verse of the Qur'an only demonstrates that one may be literate but unfortunately uneducated.
In addition to this, the prophet said:
ليكونن من أمتي أقوام يستحلون الحر والحرير، والخمر والمعازف
"There will certainly be among my Ummah people who will make lawful fornication, silk, alcohol, and musical instruments."
In this Hadith, the Prophet said, "Who will make lawful...," indicating that it was never lawful in the first place. This Hadith alone proves that music is not merely makrooh (disliked), but haram, as it is mentioned alongside fornication, alcohol, and similar prohibitions. The Prophet would not list three things as haram and one as makrooh, only to give them the same injunction.
I'll mention one more Hadith before dissecting the misunderstanding regarding music. This hadith was narrated by Ali bn Abi Tãlib in musnad Ishãq bn Rãhawayyi, suhih ibn Hibbãn and mustadrak Hãkim.
ما هممت بقبيح مما كان أهل الجاهلية يهمون به، إلا مرتين من الدهر، كلتيهما يعصمني الله منهما
"I never inclined towards any immoral act that the people of pre-Islamic ignorance used to incline towards, except twice in my life, and on both occasions, Allah protected me from them."
As we all know that the Prophet used to help the people of makkah herd their sheep, he had a friend who does same when they were kids. One night, the prophet told the boy to help him look after his sheep while he goes to play—as kids often do.
"So I came to the nearest house in Makkah, and I heard singing, the beating of tambourines, and the sound of flutes. I said, 'What is this?' They said, 'So-and-so has married so-and-so.' I was getting entertained by the singing and that sound until sleep overcame me, and nothing woke me except the heat of the sun."
