LOOK at images of the Ka'bah on this day (the 10th of Thul-Hijjah) with your own eyes & put your emotions aside & contemplate objectively what it would mean for this level of crowding to be DOUBLED or TRIPLED, because of no limits or regulations. Consider your parents or grandparents are in the middle of the crowd.

The harm would be great; deaths & injuries would increase significantly, and you vocal critics of the Muslim leaders would be the first to say, "WHY AREN'T THEY DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS!?"

We ask Allah to aid the Muslim leaders in facilitating Hajj for the Muslims, in safety & good health, and to reward them for their great efforts.

The issue of how many raka’āt should be offered for Tarawīh has been differed over for centuries. Although knowledge based discussions are a healthy part of learning, no mockery or disrespect should be spoken about those that pray a particular number of raka’āt.

If one limits their prayer to 9-11-13 raka’āt, then this is not an “IMAGINARY” number that they have produced from their imaginations. Rather, it is extracted from the ahādith of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, and is the opinion of Imām’s such as Al-Albāni, Badī’ud-dīn, and Muqbil. May Allah bless you.

𝖡𝗒 𝖲𝗁𝖺𝗒𝗄𝗁 𝖠𝖻𝗎 𝖬𝗎ḥ𝖺𝗆𝗆𝖺𝖽 Ṣ𝖺𝗅𝖺̄ḥ 𝖪𝖺𝗇𝗍𝗎̄𝗌𝗁 𝖺𝗅－‘𝖠𝖽𝖺𝗇𝗂̄ [حفظه الله]

Many may wonder, with pain and sorrow, about the reasons behind disputes and divisions among those with the same manhaj [methodology] and same ʿaqīdah [creed].

I say: one of the reasons lies in what could be considered as divine consequences for collective violations of religious commands, including the neglect of the command to align rows during prayer.

When Muslims ceased to take care in straightening their rows in prayer, Allāh, the Most High, punished them with these disagreements, divisions, estrangement, and the turning of hearts and faces against one another.

Abū Dāwūd narrated, with his chain of transmission, from al-Nu’mān ibn Bashīr who said:

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵 ﷺ 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱: ‘𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀 – 𝘁𝗵��𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀. 𝗕𝘆 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀.’” 𝗛𝗲 [𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿] 𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱: “𝗜 𝘀𝗮𝘄 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗹𝗲.”

It is also narrated from him [i.e. al-Nu’mān ibn Bashīr] in the Ṣaḥīḥayn [authentic compilations of al-Bukhārī and Muslim], with the wording: “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮̄𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀.”

Thus, whoever desires that Allāh plants love for him in the hearts of his brothers should strive to ensure the rows are aligned during prayer. If this is done correctly, most matters—if not all—will be set right thereafter.

Reflect on this, and you will benefit, with Allāh being the source of success.

Syria: A Moment of Joy and Caution

The collapse of Bashar’s oppressive regime fills our hearts with joy as we witness the release of men, women, and children from the darkness of his prisons. The sight of their freedom brings tears to our eyes, yet the signs of torture and the unspeakable atrocities they endured, known only to Allah, are a sobering reminder of the cruelty they faced.

While this moment signals hope for Syria, it is also a time for caution. Among the celebrations, we hear troubling voices calling for the “liberation of Makkah and Madinah.”

Such dangerous rhetoric reflects the ideology of the Khawarij, who exploit moments of instability to spread their divisive and destructive agenda. This not only threatens the unity of the Ummah but also invites manipulation by external forces with their own interests.

We must turn to Allah with sincere supplication during this critical time:

- For safety and healing for the oppressed.

- For unity upon the Quran and Sunnah, as understood by the Salaf.

- For protection from extremist ideologies and the manipulation of those who seek to exploit the Ummah.

- For steadfastness in respecting and following the scholars who advise us with knowledge and wisdom.

- For the preservation of the sanctity of all the Muslim lands.

May Allah guide Syria to peace and justice, protect the Ummah from the dangers of extremism, and preserve the sanctity of all Muslim lands.
