one thing you start to realize as agents get insanely good is just how much of legacy software is basically workflow theater.
there are so many legacy workflows that only exist because software historically couldn’t understand intent, gather context, make decisions, or take action for you. agents do not have this problem whatsoever, in fact they are designed to these exact things.
e.g. take intuit & turbotax. nobody ever wanted to do taxes like that. most ppl want to hand over everything that happened financially that year & have the correct return filed.
a lot of software like this is absolutely cooked. turbo tax is so fucking screwed that they will have to increase lobbying to even more record levels to continue the nonsense. get ready for bills like no ai in tax filing etc. these guys know they’re cooked, it’s just a matter of months now. maybe even less.
Built a 5-agent AI pipeline this week (scout, merchandiser, designer, copywriter, reporter) for a fictional sunglasses campaign.
Watching them hand off work in herdr was fun.
The real lesson? It didn't need 5 agents. Most "multi-agent" problems are just workflows. Start simple.
Roads in Mumbai are some of the worst in the world I would guess. Even worse than some of the poorer countries. Extremely shameful. “Chalta hai” once again that is not allowing us to move ahead…
Models are the last moat in software.
AI can train on essays and rewrite them. AI can decompile software and recode it. AI can ingest art and recreate it.
But AI itself doesn’t want to be “distilled.”
Expect more software to retreat to the server and resist “distillation.”
I sympathize with programmers who worked on systems they never cared about, for customers they didn't connect with, and took all their working joy from the mechanical act of turning tickets into code. You have to care about the software to be excited about making it w/ agents!
The more we order online for convenience (hoping for a frictionless experience), the more we're glued to our phones dealing with endless delivery OTPs. 🤨
Hot take 🌶️
I think schools should stop electronic msging to parents — WhatsApp, emails, school portals, all of it!
I think things were fine when kids came home and told parents about school, they brought us notes for urgent matters and were responsible for their own schedules
BMW's recent design direction feels like a departure from their classic aesthetic. Their last years's models and now the new 3 Series seem to lack the distinct character that defined the brand. Where's the grill? 👎 @BMW@BMWMotorsport
@GooglePayIndia It's high time you update your app and allow us to add vendors as Favorites etc... Finding people whom you have paid before is really hard when search doesn't work.
