ChatGPT is now sending better customers to online stores than Google.Shopify’s data:
Shoppers arriving from AI chatbots (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Grok…) convert nearly 50% higher than organic search.

They spend 14% more.

More than half land directly on the product page (vs ~20% from traditional search).In Q1 the channel grew 8–13×. In Q2 both traffic and orders tripled year-over-year.
