Archway Economics & Design 🧮

Archway provides a framework uniquely designed to create sustainable economics at the protocol layer, helping to ensure the L1 tokenomics do not hinder the economic feasibility of the dApps being built on top of the protocol.

This is achieved by avoiding the standard fixed supply model and arbitrary emission schedules that have been repeatedly used in the Cosmos.

Instead Archway opted for a model with no max supply that utilizes a low fixed inflation rate (10%) that can be offset through the implementation of AIP-1559 which provides counter-inflationary pressure on emissions based on current block space demand (similar to EIP-1559).

Many L1s will have no way to incentivize security or public goods once their predefined emissions have been depleted, unless they can generate substantial fees to cover the significant costs of overhead (security, public goods, etc.) leaving them in a precarious position, but not @archwayHQ.

Developer Rewards 📊

Archway also has a unique mechanism for distributing rewards and value back to the application layer that helps to align the apps with the overall protocol creating a flywheel affect as dApps can earn more significant amount of value based on the usage of their contracts.

Network Fee: Receive 50% of gas spent on contract call w/ other 50% burned

Inflation Subsidies: Receive a portion of inflationary emissions each block based on gas consumed on dApps (network usage).

Smart Contract Premiums: Developers can define custom fees for interacting with their smart contract(s) setting a price floor for their dapps of which 100% of premium goes to developer.

Technology Stack ⛓️

In order to provide this type of reward distribution @archwayHQ built out two custom SDK modules (rewards + tracking) that are meant to bring more material value back to the app layer—directly incentivizing developers based on the traction their product or application brings to the network.

To put it simply, the developer gets more of the pie on Archway than any other platform.

Now with the implementation of further modules like cw-ica and cw-callback Archway can begin to build out an execution layer that is advantageous to developers while allowing the chains it is interacting with to be abstracted from the user—commonly referred to as chain or account abstraction.

This allows #Archway to help take the next step towards solving the fragmentation issue in the Cosmos and improve the overall UX.
