@discolosure@JEChalmers tbh, I don't think he believes it to be true. Lying seems to basically be Labor's primary election strategy nowadays.
And I regretfully acknowledge that as someone who used to vote for them.
@JEChalmers One of the things people say about Labor is that they try to fool voters by moving costs around while pretending it's a saving.
And here's Jolly Jimbo pretending that CC surcharges being moved into the price of goods will save Aussies 1.6bn.
They really take voters for mugs.
@AlboMP If the changes in the budget were truly about housing affordability, why did Labor make the axing of the CGT discount apply to all investments instead of just property?
You chose to discourage investment across all asset classes, which will further harm productivity.
@TheEscapedGoat@_gdaymate I think one of the tricks liars do is to construct a detailed lie that makes them look a bit bad in order to hide a much worse truth. Because the lie makes them look a little bad, it’s more likely others will believe it because on the surface it doesn’t appear to be self-serving.
@Shuttlecock I think it's part of the general friendliness and openness Americans show when travelling. I was in a tour group in NZ, and the Americans in the group were loudly commenting on everything. I finally realised it was their way of breaking the ice and getting everyone chatting.
@JEChalmers Is the axing of the CGT discount across all asset classes (not just property) and the introduction of a 30% minimum CGT a tax cut? Nope. It's a massive tax take.
@JEChalmers Let's not mention inflation being pumped up by ridiculous levels of government spending and let's especially ignore the insanely ballooning NDIS expenditure.
Labor = gaslighting government.
@clayton_myers21@mayorofutopia_ Non-narcissists say short playful or tender things to their infants, not a 1.5 minute reddit-brained monologue with expletives. Come on now.
@clayton_myers21@mayorofutopia_ It’s absurdly performative, given that he’s delivering his long speech to an uncomprehending infant and posting it online.
Using an infant as a prop in your heckin’ good person performance reeks of narcissism, and approvingly reposting such drivel shows a lack of sound judgement
@Mon4Kooyong The issue isn't the AI. The problem is our government failing to properly secure data that wasn't meant to be publicly accessible. Bleating about legislating AI is like shouting at the incoming tide.
@Robotbeat@Davos_space Ok, so you’re here making a big sweeping claim about Kurzgesagt based on your interpretation of the video description for a video you didn’t watch.
@N1JYX@TheNatGB@RoyalMail Incredible how determined many people here are to assume that he spat on the flag. I agree that it looks like he blew something off it. He doesn’t appear to be at all bothered by the flag itself.
