Very little has been happening, but a few jobs got done: Renee sewed a screen for the companionway (after getting destroyed by no-see-ums) and gave the fridge a needed clean and defrosting. New adventures next week, we hope.

Up at 5:30 to make our destination before sunset, spent the next 10 hours up to our necks in boat guts instead. Bob helped around the day job while Renee ran wires, cleared out an ant nest, and emptied and repacked the ¼berth.

Meant to take a picture of the mess but failed to do so. Yesterday we intended to leave but were thwarted by timing, so we did some more shopping and tried and failed to stay cool.

Rented a golf cart; karma blessed us with the same hunk of junk we'd stolen a couple of weeks ago. Secured provisions. Went to the Sandbar on bridge-attached Russell Island for dinner & drinks. A well-spent Saturday.

Came back to the Yacht Haven for some resupplying and chores. Renee motored while Bob worked. Happy hour apps for dinner at Wreckers.

The wind shifted then stopped, making it quite warm. Bob jumped in after work to cool off and to see if the water was clearer in calmer conditions. (It wasn't). Another smallish Hunter anchored next to us for the night.

Finally a good solar day, did the day job and had power left for dinner and some gaming. Ran the 360 cam up the mast to get yesterday's shots. Swarmed by bees while taking a cockpit shower. We think they wanted fresh water.

Very cloudy yesterday, so power conservation was the order of the day. We did get the solar blanket working somewhat which helped. The worst of the wind blew through.

We're a bit stuck here by weather and geography, so it was just another casual day aboard. Clouds are beginning to limit our entertainment options, but were making enough power to keep the necessities running.

A little swimming (water isn't very clear unfortunately), a bit of gaming, experimenting with cold brew coffee to reduce power usage (pretty good!). A quiet Sunday just living life aboard New Beginnings. Not too shabby.

Caught up on some boat work; finally got our lee cloths installed for the shelves which comprise our bedroom dresser/night stand so things stay put and somewhat tidy. Also got the new main line water filter installed.

Renee motored us a few miles west to a secluded and well-protected natural harbor while Bob worked. We've got the place to ourselves which is a nice change. Had a quiet evening on board.

Early AM walk for provisions, then mostly just a quiet work day. Oh, except for the giant fleet of speed boats that invaded the marina for a couple of hours. Pictured: Us: 12 hp, 30 ft, 6 tons; them: 2500 hp, 49 ft, 12 tons.

Renee helmed us safely back through the Devil's Backbone while Bob was working. Then laundry, topping up power, dinner at Wreckers.
This is where I woke up this morning: Dunmore Town
[It's mostly behind that little island]
If not for the wake, this would be such a great harbor. But it is constant and wildly inconsiderate. Enduring one more day for a better weather window.
This is where I woke up this morning: A floating desalination plant (off Harbour Island)
Models and photographers wandered all over Newbie and we perversely didn't get any photos of the experience; too busy hosting/working. Back to the Rooster Tail for happy hour after work.

After having been waked enough, we were leaving the harbour when a local caught up to us in his boat. He has a customer who wants to do a photo shoot on a sailboat and could we help? We turned around and anchored in a new spot.

Spent Saturday exploring town, sampling some wares, getting more (and hopefully finally the correct) parts for the water system. Sushi at Da Vine: delish!

Moved anchorage after the wind shift; went to shore for dinner since power has been hard to get through the clouds. The Rooster Tail at Valentine's Resort/Marina is excellent but pricey. A lot of wake here.
This is where I woke up this morning: Bottom Harbour, Eleuthera
Quiet day on board as we tried to nurse the batteries through a work day despite weather being mostly thunderstorms. Cold leftovers for dinner were quite tasty.
