Gayle Benson: "Kellen Moore and his coaches are responsible for preparing our players to perform. Mickey Loomis and our football staff are responsible for building a roster capable of sustained success. Our players are responsible for their preparation and execution. I am responsible for holding this organization accountable."
I was standing right there. What’s wild is that it all started with Trey McBride saying “please” when pleading his case for a PI flag. He was heated for sure, but I never heard a curse from him. The harshest he got was, “You’re ruining the game.”
This is 1,000 times worse than either of the Goff/Shough fumble/incomplete rulings in my mind.
Not too high, not too low, not too late, not too violent. This feels like how you should teach players to hit the quarterback at every level??? Am I crazy??
OK, I’m being fair and open minded. Here are both plays side-by-side. Somebody convince me that the rule is not being applied differently in each case by the #NFL to hurt the #Saints.
So the exact same play that happened in Detroit, called the other way against a #Saints team that's now suffered from the NFL's insufficient definition of a forward pass for a second time in three game.
"The New Orleans Saints aren't getting anywhere near the amount of love that they should be getting right now..
They have an incredible fanbase and I'm happy for them" ~ @JJWatt#PMSLive
This is the first time since 2020 where I think there’s real hope AND the team has universal appeal. Atmosphere could be back.
2021 had appeal with Jameis but first three games were on the road and lost Week 4. Momentum didn’t build the same way.
Mike Pereira on @NFLonFOX can suck a chode, thats not the rule. Hand has to move forward intentionally. QB cocking his arm back is not the throwing motion!
This should be the biggest story of the week and it’s going to be swept under the rug because this game is largely irrelevant from a national storyline standpoint.
