1/11 @tlsibanda here is a thread on the Yaos in Bulawayo. The Yao form a significant and if not the most fascinating group of the Malawian migrant population in Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe they are called amaTshawa or maChawa. They should not be confused with the Chewa people.
Proud moment! @RwandaDeafwomen deeply appreciates the inspiring school project by three great Grade 8 changemakers at Green Hills Academy @GHA_rwanda.
In partnership with their parents, @GHA_rwanda and @ArtroomIfs (GS Institut Filippo Smaldone), @RwandaDeafwomen immersed them in Deaf culture, connected them with peers (especially Deaf girls), deepened their understanding of disability and inclusion, and donated scholastic materials + sanitary kits—driving real empowerment!
Thank you for championing inclusion together!

Nando's Quarter Chicken Index
Zimbabwe is up there, but Mauritius has the most expensive Nandos quarter chicken by some distance.
The big surprise for me was that Zambia had the cheapest quarter chicken even cheaper than South Africa.
What do you think?
a low cost environment is critical for competitiveness since afCFTA is at our doorstep; there is value, there is price & then there is how much something costs to make. No one is coming to create a low cost environment for us…no one! We will have to do it.
