“why are people obsessed with them” a girl raised by circus performers found her own extreme sport, met up with a guy she saw as a competition for a sponsored climb, and she gradually learned she could trust him and they fell in love. they’ve been romance novel material
you guys have a hard time accepting multifaceted people or coming to terms with the fact you can love someone deeply but still be a bastard, a terrible person and mistreat them.
She's not an accumulator. I've been with an accumulator, and she'd often reject money and gifts and offered advice on investment and savings. That's an accumulator. You can't be an accumulator if you're happy spending your partner's money anyhow.

I am impressed by this. Not by their climbing or bypassing security. But to be such a specific kind of crazy, that requires not just bravado but also great skill, and to find someone exactly as crazy, as skilful, as willing, who even happens to look like you and to have them be in love with you... few people will ever be so lucky, few people will ever live life so fully. To be lucky to find this, you don't need to live 80 or 90 years. They have already lived a hundred lives.
The act itself does not move me, but In a world of 8 billion finding the other person who is the same sort of insane to do with with you is terribly romantic
