SA Non-governmental Organizations to the Governor of Kaduna State
What may interest you to know is that a groundbreaking for the BRT was performed in 2023 at the verge of the exit of the previous administration without making any financial commitment which led to the stall of the entire project until when Senator @ubasanius made this commitment.
This is the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Transport Regulatory Authority (KASTRA) standing right in the place where the said ground-breaking ceremony was performed in March 2023 not 2022 as you said.
I’m safe to say without any fear of contradiction that Governor Uba Sani is starting this project from the scratch.
I received in audience today the World Bank AGILE Task Team Lead, Haj. Aisha Garba, the Director Secondary Education, FMoE, Haj. Binta Abdulkadir, the National Coordinator AGILE Nigeria, Haj. Amina Buba Haruna and their delegation. We shared thoughts on the ongoing partnership between the World Bank AGILE Task Team and the Kaduna State Government geared towards improving secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls aged between 10 and 20.
The team expressed satisfaction with the level of work done following assessment of completed and ongoing AGILE/Kaduna State Government collaborative projects. They commended Kaduna State for being one of the best performing states in Nigeria in the execution of AGILE projects. Out of 62 projects undertaken, 40 have been fully completed and they are of high quality while 22 are almost at completion stage.
They also commended our administration’s commitment towards reducing the number out-of-school children. With the State Government’s efforts, we have made progress in the enrollment and retention of children in school with over 300,000 children back in school since we assumed office.
I thanked the team for the visit. I also commended the AGILE Kaduna Team for their uncommon commitment. Our State is lucky to have the best AGILE Team in the country. We shall continue to support the team to advance the education of adolescent girls. Education is a leveler. It is the best tool for mental and economic empowerment.

The 6 selected hospitals being renovated are evenly distributed across the 3 Senatorial Zones, with two hospitals chosen from each zone.
I received in audience the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Disability Matters, Comrade Mohammed Abba Isa and his team.
The SSA commended the Kaduna State Government for its inclusive and pro-poor policies and sustained commitment to the principles of fairness, justice and equity. Today, together with heads of security agencies and top government officials, I went round Kaduna Metropolis to assess the level of compliance with the 24-hour curfew and to carry out on-the-spot assessment of the damage done to private and public properties as well as looting by criminal elements during the last protest.
We feel the pains of our citizens at this difficult moment but I urge them to continue to comply fully with the curfew. We shall continue to monitor the security situation while working with security agencies to maintain safety of lives and properties.
I was reliably informed that the people on top of the armoured personnel carrier (APC) were celebrating because they had been given the opportunity by the police to conduct a peaceful protest. Pls, stop spreading the rumour.
