A better comparison would be compare him to a player in another sport that is Constantly complaining and disagreeing as his frequency is higher…then you get into the level of a draymond green or someone like that…and can see why they would be polarizing.

If this was ruled like they would a foul in American football it would be a yellow card because the contact was illegal but he clearly wasn’t looking down, playing the ball accidental step

This is more like unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike conduct, hit to the head and then you review to see the intent and whether the player should be ejected or continue to play if deemed incidental.
