Bangladesh was thriving under HPM Sheikh Hasina's leadership with rapid economic growth, major infrastructure development and poverty reduction. In her absence, the nation's progress and stability are now in danger.

Why is Tyrant Yunus facing public outrage at New York airport?
Because he destroyed Bangladesh, killed thousands of babies, Awami League workers, and police officers, and destroyed the educational rights of millions of students because of their political beliefs.
.@Yunus_Centre has once again been exposed over allegations of fraud and tax evasion. He preaches ethical conduct while his own actions appear to contradict the very principles he claims to uphold. Behind the carefully cultivated image of a virtuous man lies a deeply troubling record of alleged corruption and misconduct.

The High Court’s findings against Grameen Kalyan reopen questions that Yunus’s international supporters often framed as political harassment. They also draw further attention to the tax relief and business approvals granted to Grameen institutions during his time in power.

In its latest statement titled “Bangladeshi Police Round Up Opposition Supporters: Mass Arrests Continue the Cycle of Political Repression,” the Human Rights Watch (HRW) has highlighted the issue of arbitrary detention and politically motivated arrests of opposition activists in Bangladesh under the BNP-led government.
In the statement, HRW described the mass arrest of around 290 activists and supporters of the small left-wing party JSD at a meeting in Dhaka on September 26 as “the latest incident in the Bangladesh authorities’ ongoing assault on civil and political rights.”
HRW noted that, despite having itself been subjected to human rights violations under the Awami League (AL) government, the BNP, since assuming power in February 2026, has allegedly engaged in similar patterns of rights violations. @PearsonElaine, Asia Director at @hrw, stated:
“BNP targeted its own perceived opponents with arbitrary detention and hundreds of Awami League members are currently in jail, mostly without charge.”
The statement also highlighted the repeated police raids and arrests targeting alleged gatherings of AL supporters. On September 26, the same day as the JSD meeting, police in Barisal detained 12 AL activists for allegedly holding a “secret” meeting to “plan sabotage.” Two days later, police arrested another 15 people in Dhaka under the Anti-Terrorism Act on similar allegations.
In both instances, those detained reportedly stated that they had gathered to mark the birthday of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
HRW expressed concern that the BNP came to power with a commitment to restore human rights, strengthen the rule of law, and uphold fundamental freedoms. Instead, the new government has engaged in arbitrary detention of political opponents and weakened or rolled back human-rights safeguards proposed by the interim government.
HRW emphasised that past rights violations committed during the AL’s tenure cannot provide legal or moral justification for comparable violations by the BNP government. HRW also issued a broader warning about the consequences of continued violations of civil and political rights by stating:
“Bangladeshi history is rife with examples of where such repression can lead,”

Over a period of just 20 months, nearly 900 bodies have reportedly been recovered from rivers across Bangladesh. This deeply concerning figure demands urgent attention and independent investigation.
We urge the @UN, @amnesty, @hrw, and other international human rights organizations to take note, seek verified data, and investigate the circumstances behind these deaths.

Healthcare Under Attack: BNP-Linked Mob Demolishes 50-Year-Old Clinic in Dhaka
250 masked men reportedly stormed and demolished the nearly 50-year-old RADDA MCH-FP Centre in Mirpur-1, after taking security guards hostage and looting medicines, vaccines, medical equipment and cash. The centre served poor women and children.
BNP's reserved-seat MP Ferdousi Ahmed Mishti is the prime accused by the locals.
A healthcare centre was reduced to rubble—just before a measles-rubella vaccination drive was due to begin.
This is not just the destruction of a building. It is the destruction of healthcare access for some of Dhaka’s most vulnerable citizens.
