@ocornut Had the realization that open source doesn’t really work some time ago. Don’t have a real solution for that problem, but what’s your bet on the dual licensing idea? Something like it’s free if your revenue is under 100.000 per year , otherwise you have to pay.

@romainguy Yeah that makes me sad that his earnings are so low, great book, great guy, deserve more. This kind of business model is not sustainable for any author. I guess the numbers are similar for other authors...

It means identifying where performance matters while designing and adapt the design accordingly. Benchmarking from the beginning to get a baseline of the best. Not by profiling and optimizing long after all design choices have been made, API is frozen and software already shipped
