- 5 remote jobs
- 7 internships
- 12 opportunities from India
- 9 from the US
- 11 from Europe!
Today, I sent 50 job opportunities to 600+ developers and designers.
My google hiring story has been pretty eventful.
- In 2021, I cleared the coding test for Google internship and got invited for interviews. I got an offer from Goldman Sachs first so my college placement cell forced me to not sit for the interviews.
- In Jan 2022, I got India Rank 1 in Google Kick Start and was hoping to get an interview call but didn’t get it.
- In Aug 2022, I applied off campus for full time role after my GS internship. Got a really good feedback in all the interview rounds but the hiring got paused.
- I waited for a very long time to hear back but after 8 months I made peace with the fact that I am not getting an offer.
- In 2024, I applied again and finally got an offer.
I had almost assumed that I would never make it to Google because somehow every time something weird used to happen.

Jensen Huang and Nvidia, ladies and gentlemen.
I used to think I would enjoy the attention once I build a good physique. but once you have a physique that stands out, you start hating all the staring you get in public because no matter where you go people stare!
For the same reason I usually wear lose clothes now, kinda similar to the one I used to wear when I was fat, the intention in both cases was to hide my physique. Life is a weird circle.
I am a kinda private person and avoid sharing my personal life unless there's a learning which could help others (hence never shared a lot about my love life either), however I guess this instance might be helpful.
I was dating this girl for sometime but we eventually broke up as I realised she had cheated on me on multiple occasions, but a few months ago she pinged back and came clean, she confessed how things went downhill after we parted ways and that she misses me big time and wanted to give it another shot whole-heartedly.
We were in a relationship for a considerable amount of time and I too felt it would be worth giving it another shot(maybe stupid, but it's what it is).
So we gave it another shot! This time things were obvio different, I mean she literally was the "ideal" gf, anything I could've ever wished for, even when I wasn't able to reciprocate she kept putting in more efforts, kept trying harder, did everything a person could do. But I was just not able to establish the emotional connect :( . Ultimately a while ago, I gave up and broke it up (I still feel a bit guilty, but again couldn't really help it out). Sometimes things are broken beyond repair and no matter what you do you'll not be able to fix them).
Take this as a lesson: if you have something beautiful in life, please don't ruin it, don't succumb to instant gratifications and ruin something far more valuable. If you already found that 1 person whom you really vibe with and see a future with, please hold em tight, don't be stupid and never let em go!
@LeroyterBraak Thank you! It’s taken me awhile to really figure out how to do it with my style of content and on YouTube. I think we’ve started to really find a good sweet spot 🥰
During my JEE days, I studied and worked hard, despite having no support or coaching. During college, the hard work decreased a bit, but I was still grinding hard.
Now, when I look back and compare myself to my old self, I feel I’m not doing even 20% of the hard work I did back then and wonder if that phase was real.
I mean, I don’t necessarily need to work that hard, study 6-7 hours per day, follow a strict routine, etc., but deep down, I feel if I started working like I did during my JEE days, I’d be more satisfied with myself.
What motivated me that much back then? Probably the fact that I could change my lifestyle and the condition of my family. Or was it something else? Something that diminishes as you grow up.
I haven't achieved a lot in life yet, but whatever has been accomplished till date has always started with me being frustrated at the present condition and saying "fuck it, let's do it". Epic shit always follows.
Hn shayd mujhe 2nd year of college mein financially independent hona pda thha.
shayd I had to use a govt laptop (scholarship by HP govt) for most of my bachelors (I did buy a macbook with my "own" money in 4th year)
Shayd I used to travel 3kms just to buy boiled eggs to complete by protein requirements.
A lot more shayds btw,
Maybe main itna privileged ni thha? But I don't blame you for this assumption, most people who don't know me often feel so.
Trust me when I say it- I have seen the hardest of the times (my dad was diagnosed with an incurable disease ~13 years ago, since then he's on bed rest), I started from scratch with no support whatsoever. Financial & emotional difficulties wasnt just a part of the journey but probably the entire journey itself. 🙂
Just got paid for the very first time as a fullstack developer . Not giving up finally paid off ✨
Thanks to @kirat_tw for the teachings since cohort 1🙇🏻♂️
