@RonSexsmith My dad was a singer. I couldn’t listen to almost any music for over a year after he died. Nothing. All chat radio, news and tv. No songs. I’ve begun again in the last few weeks. It’s been lovely to return to something you love after a spell away! Makes me love it a little more!

@philipnolan1 By coincidence i received a copy of my grandfathers part memoir this week via a third cousin in the US. Pop talks about his time in the Irish Guards in 1938 in Palestine where they were under fire from both sides Arab and Jew and lost many of their comrades. 85 years ago
