@kariebookish During my textiles GCSE I made my first garment from a pattern. I didn't consider the difficulty level, I chose a black stretch velvet (goth days) and modified the pattern to add lace sleeves. Basically made it 100% harder and I didn't question. Wouldn't even think of it now
