The Few Who Remain Firm Upon the Sunnah
Many compete for the treasures of the dunyā, but few strive for the treasures of sacred knowledge. Make your greatest ambition to learn your religion, act upon it, and remain steadfast upon the Sunnah. What is with Allāh is far better and everlasting.
They say: "You highly praised Sh Muhammad b Hadi before, but NOW you spread the scholars' warnings against him, his gatherings, & his oppression. This is clear self-contradiction."

Dismantling A Flimsy Scheme That Seeks to Supplant The Scholars Through Statements of Truth Intended for Falsehood

Here is a tremendous benefit from our noble scholar Shaykh al-Albani (may Allah have mercy upon him), surrounding the doubt that scholars don’t know current events.
This was posted back in 2013 so many of today’s active youth may have missed it, accordingly, I am reposting it.

📍 Dismissing the Scholars for Lacking Expertise in Nawāzil — A Surūrī Principle Repacked
(A clarification of the errors Abū ‘Iyād Amjad of Salafī Publications fell into, important document to understand the issues at hand.)

Indeed, be cautious — especially of those who use “decades of service” to justify wrongdoings and deflect sincere, warranted criticism of scholars.
Calling to “return to the scholars” isn’t a slogan — it’s a principle. If that reminder unsettles some, perhaps the issue isn’t with the call itself, but with what it exposes.
True Salafī students welcome correction and remain connected to the scholars — in both word and deed.
Some people are returning important affairs to actual scholars, really.
Some people are returning their affairs to the court of public opinion & pleading their case on social media with anonymous accounts & trolls.
Your path identifies who you really are.
& Allah knows.
A Note Regarding my Trip to the USA 8th - 13th April, 2026
It has once again been a truly enjoyable visit to the USA. I extend my sincere thanks to our beloved communities in Roanoke, Virginia, and Columbus, Ohio, for organizing and facilitating the events over the past few days. I am deeply grateful for their outstanding hospitality.
By the blessing of Allāh, I had the opportunity to meet communities being cultivated upon the way of the Scholars—honouring them, loving them, and recognizing their rightful status. May Allāh continue to grant them success.
The da’wah in the USA is clearly growing. I ask Allāh to bless the communities of Roanoke and Columbus, and all Salafī communities, as well as all our respected and noble brothers—the honourable du‘āt and teachers in the USA who strive tirelessly to benefit the Muslims across the country. They teach the Qur’an and Sunnah, connect the people to the Scholars, and nurture within them love and respect for them: Abū Muhammad al-Maghrabī, Abul Hasan Mālik, Hasan Somali, Abul-‘Abbās Mūsā Richardson, Anwar Wright, Umar Quinn, Rasheed Barbee, Raha Batts, Jamīl Finch, Hamza ‘AbdurRazzāq, Mustafā George, Abū Anīsa ‘Abdul Hakeem, and others among the teachers upon the same commendable path whom I may have missed.
For decades, our da’wah in the West has been firmly built upon returning to the Scholars—maintaining strong ties with them, seeking their guidance in our affairs, and recognizing our position beneath them. By the permission of Allāh, if we remain steadfast upon this path, we will continue to grow and progress, our da’wah will only become stronger, and we will find the sweetness of brotherhood, love and unity between us.
As for those who are no longer able to uphold this way, and have instead opened doors to corruption and misplaced boldness against the scholars that we long worked within the da’wah to keep firmly shut for years—and in fact rebuked opposers who often attempt to open them—then do not concern yourselves with such individuals or their supporters issuing lengthy and meandering justifications for their weak and erroneous positions lacking resolve—at a time when nothing but firm resolve itself is the requirement.

Exposing Some of The Delusions in The Stance of Kāshif Khān
I say, seeking the aid of Allāh: Mentioning Shaykh ʿAbdullāh Al-Bukhārī, may Allāh preserve him, and mentioning Al-Ḥudhayfī before him is nothing but an attempt to throw dust in the eyes of the people of truth.
This brings to mind the approach of Sulaymān Al-Ruḥaylī in such situations, where he appears as the one sitting on the fence, yet in reality stands with the opposing side, as occurred in the Fitnah of Muḥammad ibn Hādī.
As for your statement, “I advised privately and publicly,” we say:
Private advice is only beneficial and appropriate when the mistake has not been made public and has not affected people.
But if a person openly displays his innovation, spreads offensive speech against knowledge and its people, and people are influenced by it, then it becomes necessary to refute him publicly, warn against him, avoid sitting with him, and not hold conferences with him, so that people are not deceived and they are not confused about his affair.
Ibn Rajab Al-Ḥanbalī, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “If an error spreads and become widespread, it is obligatory to clarify it and warn against it.”
Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “If you remain silent and I remain silent, then when will the ignorant be distinguished from the scholar?”
Yaḥya ibn Ma’īn, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “Defending the Sunnah is better than Jihād.”
Al-Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyaḍ, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “Whoever sits with a person of innovation, then beware of him.”
What we see from you contradicts your claim.
Amjad Rafīq initially attacked Shaykh ʿArafāt Al-Muḥammadī, and it escalated to explicit attacks on Shaykh Al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbdullāh Al-Bukhārī, may Allāh preserve him. Yet we did not see from you anything that supports your claim of public advice. Rather, we saw the opposite.
In fact, within days, matter reached the point of holding conferences with him and openly cooperating with him.
So much so, that your associate Abū Khadījah even described him as his teacher, and spoke of his efforts spanning thirty years, attempting to clear him, effectively becoming a shield defending and protecting him.
In reality, this is an explicit application of the principle of the methodology of Muwāzanāt.
His past efforts and history in Daʿwah are mentioned in order to downplay his errors and confuse people about his reality.
Shaykh Rabīʿ ibn Hādī Al-Madkhalī, may Allāh preserve him, said: “It is not from the methodology of the Salaf that when you refute an innovator you mention his good qualities. Rather, clarify his innovation and warn against it.”
He also said: “Tamyīʿ is among the most dangerous things that corrupt the Daʿwah. It is blurring of positions where clarity is required.”
Sufyān Al-Thawrī, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “Innovation is more beloved to Iblīs than sin, because sin is repented from, whereas innovation is not.”
Such matters cause confusion for the observer.
How does such weakness occur in such a serious matter? Have they not read the book “The Methodology of Ahus-Sunnah in Criticizing Individuals, Books and Groups”? Or the book “The Methodology of Muwāzanāt” and what has been written in them of foundational principles and clarification?
What we see today of confusion in this matter is the result of opposing those principles and failing to adhere to this great methodology.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
We ask Allah to guide and rectify all of our affairs.
Due to recent matters and the lack of a clear public stance regarding the situation surrounding Abu Iyad, which has had an impact on the community, a decision has been made in accordance with what we believe is in the best interest of the Ummah. As Muslims, when clarity comes to us, it is upon us to stand firmly upon it.
Effective immediately, our brother Kashif Khan will no longer serve as the Imam or teacher of our masjid.
For any questions or concerns, please direct them to the administration.

With a Wednesday (Feb.18) start of Ramadhaan 1447, the last ten nights begin on Monday night (the eve of Tuesday, the 21st of Ramadhaan).
01-10 = the first ten
11-20 = the middle ten
21-30 (or 21-29) = the last ten
May Allah give us success in catching Laylat al-Qadr (a single night better than a thousand months [of worship]).
As our Prophet (may Allah raise his rank & grant him peace) said: Seek it out within the odd nights of the last ten.
S͟hayk͟h Nizār As-Sūdānī Continues to Hurl The Divisive Accusations of The Ṣaʿāfiqah, Rather Worse
S͟hayk͟h @Arafatbinhassan al-Muḥammadī (ḥafiẓahullāh) writes:
S͟hayk͟h Nizār said in his post ‘Salafiyyah and the Salafīs Wage War Against Fitnah and Its People… and Bāduk͟hn (and His New Party) …’:
“Through this he has exposed the reality of himself, his ignorance and his whims. Rather, he has exposed the scheme; the plan and its crafty agenda (the methodology and the new party), which, it appears and Allāh knows best, was woven and orchestrated shortly before the death of the scholar ʿUbayd Al-Jābirī, may Allāh have mercy on him, and shortly before the death of the scholar Rabīʿ. It then layed bare its fangs and tails and became clearly manifest after his death, may Allāh the Exalted have mercy on him.”
I say: S͟hayk͟h Nizār As-Sūdānī is accusing the Salafīs of being a “New Party” that was woven and orchestrated shortly before the death of the scholar ʿUbayd and shortly before the death of the scholar Rabīʿ. By doing so, he is joining the divisive faction in accusing the two S͟hayk͟hs of being heedless, and of having been surrounded by the Ṣaʿāfiqah.
So what is this conspiracy? Who was responsible for it? And where is the clear evidence for this grave accusation; an accusation whose first target is the two great scholars, Rabīʿ and Al-Jābirī, may Allāh have mercy upon them both?
And what real, consequential difference is there between your accusation and the accusation of the Ṣaʿāfiqah, that the two S͟hayk͟hs were surrounded by an inner circle that prevented them from discerning the truth and from recognizing the members of this “New Party”?
All praise belongs to Allāh, who has exposed you before the people of reason and the students of knowledge. Nothing emboldened you except our patience, our silence, and our forbearance in the face of your hollow, false claims, so you went on to fabricate and hurl accusations, yet you never answered for what your own hand had written.
As for the questions you direct at me, they are products of your own mental concoctions and delusions; things you are unable to substantiate!
There is a vast gulf between your claims and what we document from your feeble writings.

A Refutation of Nizār Hāshim’s Attacks Against Our Virtuous S͟hayk͟h, Al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbdullāh Al-Buk͟hārī, and His Accusation of Him Opposing the Sunnah—A Method of the Ḥaddādiyyah, and The Worse than the Ḥaddādiyyah
S͟hayk͟h @Arafatbinhassan Al-Muḥammadī (ḥafiẓahullāh) writes:
Nizār Hāshim As-Sūdānī used to feign respect for our teacher, S͟hayk͟h ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm @dr_albukhary (ḥafiẓahullāh), portraying him as one of the senior scholars (Al-Akābir). He would even describe him as “the father-figure” and “the ʿAllāmah.” Yet, in order to nullify all of these praises, he accused him of opposing the Sunnah—without any sound, explicit evidence or proof!
After the flood of attacks that Nizār Hāshim spewed against our teacher, Al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbdullāh Al-Buk͟hārī, Nizār Hāshim today published an accusation declaring S͟hayk͟h Al-Buk͟hārī to be deviant, claiming that he has changed, altered, and opposed the Sunnah.
This was stated explicitly in a new audio recording in which he said: “I have not changed, in-shāʾ-Allāh, nor have the steadfast Salafis who are known for Salafiyyah changed or altered. They remain as they are, and we ask Allāh to grant us all steadfastness. But S͟hayk͟h Al-Buk͟hārī has changed and altered, opposed the senior scholars, and brought strange and suspicious matters that have no connection to knowledge.”
And he said: “He is the one who changed and altered, and came with strange and astonishing things.”
And he said: “Dr. Al-Buk͟hārī has opposed the Sunnah in many issues.”
This deceptive path that Nizār Hāshim follows, aimed at dismantling and nullifying the commendations of our teacher, S͟hayk͟h ʿAbdullāh Al-Buk͟hārī, is one of the known methodologies of the Ḥaddādiyyah, as stated by our S͟hayk͟h Rabīʿ (raḥimahullāh) in ‘The Danger of the New Ḥaddādiyyah’:
“A deceptive gradualism, similar to the method of the Bāṭiniyyah—though we do not say they are Bāṭiniyyah—but we see that they resemble them in gradualism and fickleness. For until recently, they would pretend to respect a group of scholars and would claim that whoever opposed them had disbelieved in Islām, denied the Qurʾān and the Sunnah, and demolished Islām, while passionately calling people to blindly follow them. Then, when they thought that their strength had grown and their foundations had solidified, they declared war against them, belittled their statements, and emboldened the lowly against them. Such is how they proceed gradually in their daʿwah.”
The speech of Nizār Hāshim regarding S͟hayk͟h Al-Buk͟hārī mirrors, rather, surpasses in vileness, the speech of the worse than the Ḥaddādiyyah against our S͟hayk͟h Rabīʿ (raḥimahullāh), in his accusation of him having deviated from the Sunnah.
As stated by Khālid ʿAbdur-Raḥmān Al-Miṣrī: “Therefore, if my previous words were not directed at a specific scholar, then my words tonight are directed at that scholar—the father-figure—who has deviated from the Sunnah in this matter, which is a fundamental principle of our religion.”
These attacks will not harm our S͟hayk͟h, in-shāʾ-Allāh, as stated by our S͟hayk͟h ʿUbayd Al-Jābirī (raḥimahullāh):
“They are working against S͟hayk͟h ʿAbdullāh Al-Bukhārī, may Allāh protect him, and protect us and you from all evil. S͟hayk͟h ʿAbdullāh Al-Buk͟hārī is a ʿAllāmah, by Allāh, a ʿAllāmah. We have known him for a long time. By Allāh, we say to them: perish in your rage. We say to those attacking S͟hayk͟h ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbdir-Raḥīm Al-Buk͟hārī, may Allāh preserve him, whoever hears this and is granted success in his speech and hearing, let him hear: a ʿAllāmah, a man of Sunnah, a person of Ḥadīth. So we say to those slandering him: you are transgressors. And we say to you: perish in your rage.”

The Meaning of the Word "Shaykh" and Whom is It Applied to
Shaykh ʿAbdullah Al-Bukhārī @dr_albukhary - may Allāh preserve him - was asked:
Question: "Is it correct that the meaning of the word 'shaykh' is 'faqīh' (an authorative scholar)?"
Answer: Who says that the word "shaykh" means "faqīh"? None of the people of knowledge ever said that a faqīh is necessarily called a shaykh. A shaykh may be a faqih, and he may not be. In fact, this word, especially in these later times, is often used simply for an elderly man, as a form of respect and honor. People say: "O Shaykh so-and-so, O Shaykh so-and-so." This is what is intended. Sometimes, it is even applied to ordinary people who may not understand much at all. May Allāh bless you. So there is no binding connection between the two (i.e. shaykh and faqīh).
As for the question: "Is it correct that the meaning of the word shaykh is faqih?" — the short answer is: No.
And does the word "shaykh" apply to just anyone, even to the students of knowledge? The answer is: No. Rather, the word "mashyakhah" (the plural of shaykh) is used in its precise and correct meaning only for the one who truly deserves it and in whom the capability and qualification are found. —End
Comment: The use of the word "shaykh" to mean an elderly person is specific to the Arabs. Among Urdu-speaking South Asians for example, the term is reserved for scholars, often an authoritative scholar, while elders are addressed with words like Buzurg, Chacha, Taya, Barray Miyan etc.
Some, out of ignorance, call any elder person "shaykh", even if he is a layman who may not be able to count the pillars of īmān! Their failure to distinguish between legislative terminology and social norms leads to this misuse, which misleads readers, since "shaykh" in their society strongly connotes a scholar, not just an elder.
It should also be noted that in South Asia shaykh is both a scholarly title and a caste name, which adds further confusion. Similarly, titles such as Mawlavi, Mawlana, Mullā, ʿAllāmah, Mufti, and ʿĀlim are the proper terms used to denote scholars in that culture. Therefore, extra precision and caution are necessary.
