I had a professor who used to say doing #CFD with commercial software without sufficient knowledge of fluid mechanics and numerics is nothing but "garbage in, garbage out"!
@lexfridman Is there any reason for being less active with the podcast these days? Will you ever go back to the previous routine (roughly two episode per week)?
Thanks for everything you do. Peace and Love.
Very last days to submit your abstract: remember you still have time until Friday, March 31! To submit your abstract for the 18th #OpenFOAM Workshop, follow the instructions at

Wondering how science would have been like, if every single publication in the history of science was fully open-source (e.g., data, code, etc.) and reproducible. I bet we would have been far more advanced in any fields.
If you are interested in CFD, OpenFOAM, hydropower, and looking for an academic position, we have a perfect open PhD position for you at Chalmers on "CFD for hydropower lifetime analysis". The deadline is close so apply ASAP. (Retweet is appreciated)

A Pentium II with 32 MB of RAM and 20 GB og HDD in early 2000. It was the highest config in the market at that time and I clearly remember how astonished people were by it.
This is a massive update to #OpenFOAM:

With this, we can potentially simulate a complete engine or complete chemical factory, with a single multi-region simulation...
Allied to NCC, OpenFOAM is now on a set path towards extremely high CFD capabilities.
Students might think that professors give the courses that they are expert at, but the unspoken truth is that usually they take over the courses that they want to learn.
@Julio_Mula_@PR0GRAMMERHUM0R Don't you think C might be too heavy for very young children (say 10 years old). Wouldn't it be better to start with something easier and more fun (e.g., Python).
If you, like me, enjoy listening to podcasts, I highly recommend @lexfridman podcast. Whether you are interested in computer science, physics, engineering, history, politics, or other human sciences, Lex has something for you!
