The problem is * most * people don't know what A+ looks like and try to make moves with the wrong team. Best thing you can do spend as much time with certified A players as possible (advisors, mentors, friends) and calibrate to that.

It is funny to remember that in 2006, most VCs would only fund NY companies if they moved out west.
We set up Greycroft in NY & LA because we believed the country’s 2 biggest cities would inevitably become start-up hubs. That prediction is playing out.

This morning while skateboarding to work I was changing the song on my apple watch that was connected to my iPhone, streaming songs to my Beats headphones (Apple).

When 80% of your interactions have an agenda... it shorts you ability to build a long term relationship.
I’m all for selling 💯 - but don’t make that the goal. Make it the byproduct of the value you bring.

@JakeTDunlap Great point... I always hear scaling companies talking about process, and transforming sales "from an Art to a Science", but I think you can't totally discount the Art/Creativity that makes *some* people successful.
Too many sales leaders punish themselves because they feel they aren’t good enough when in reality they are playing a game that’s tough to win.
Give yourself some credit.
