Nightingales singing and showing well at Hosehill Nature Reserve near Theale Gravel Pits first thing this morning! 3 singing males heard with a further 2 singing birds a couple miles down the road. @berksbirdnews

The Pit 16 Great Northern Diver showed nicely this morning but generally stayed relatively distant apart from a single close approach to the bank! On pit 14, c30 Pochard, 50 Tufted Duck and 30 Red Crested Pochard. @CWPBirds @GlosBirds
@TheJemster Interesting to hear you saw it too, perhaps it’s the same bird sticking around! It did fly in the direction of the upper valley, it had caught a dragonfly!
