🔴 Another patient was rescued from being killed by an Advanced Practitioner in A&E.

This ACP dude, who could be a physio, paramedic, or even a pharmacist, doesn’t know how to read ECGs and missed a potentially fatal heart attack (STEMI) 💀☠️

⭕️ The patient could’ve arrested in the waiting room.

⭕️ The shameless EM consultant knew the ACP didn’t have a clue about ECGs, yet allowed them to have a crack.

⭕️ They didn’t introduce themselves properly.

God knows how many patients have been killed and brushed under the carpet by NHS Trusts.

A nurse consultant in London slowly killed a patient by having a crack at a stroke consultant’s job and thrombolysing a patient, leaving them with a major spinal haemorrhage and quadriplegia 💀☠️☠️

⭕️ Doctors have a complicated clinical judgment process based on robust knowledge and expertise before making any decision.

⭕️ Nurses are only programmed to follow protocols, which can have catastrophic consequences.

⭕️ Even experienced medical registrars can break into cold sweats before deciding to thrombolyse and will typically discuss it with the stroke/medical consultant.

The public are deeply concerned that you are employing a NURSE CONSULTANT in Gastroenterology with zero relevant postgrad qualifications 💀☠️

⭕️ You only need to be a registered nurse, with no MSc or PhD degree.

⭕️ Gastro doctors typically sit more than 4 high-intensity postgrad exams + 10 years of experience to become consultants.

⭕️ What does a nurse know about the anatomy of the colon to perform independent colonoscopy? Patients’ colons are not mannequins for practising.

This would be a criminal offence in developing countries.

@MedRegoncall1 Absolutely agree. Mind you, if the ambulance service could recommence employing paramedics instead of continuing to train them up knowing there are NO paramedic jobs to be had, that would help in discouraging them from trying to do something else.
