Norway Wants to Kick Israel Out of World Soccer

Amazing, isn’t it, how the anti-Israel virus shows up everywhere on our giddy globe, even in places where you thought there was still a sooterkins of decency. Take, for example, Norway, the land of fjords and fårikål, but also, let’s remember, the land of Vidkun Quisling, the Nazi collaborator, and of Roald Dahl, the kindly children’s book writer who turned out to be a furious antisemite. Now Norway, or rather the Norwegian soccer team, has disgraced itself by calling for Israel, the tiny state fighting a four-front war for its survival, to be booted out of world soccer.

"Norway’s tact turned itself into a distinctive intermediary: a small, energy-rich state with few Middle East ambitions of its own, clout in Washington, trust among Israelis and rapport with Palestinians. In the 1990s, the country hosted the negotiations that generated the Oslo Accords, the most significant diplomatic breakthrough toward a lasting peace. As talks failed and Israel’s occupation of Gaza and the West Bank deepened over the early 2000s, Norway pulled back from Israel."

What Israeli “occupation” of Gaza in the 2000s? There was no such occupation at that time. Every single Israeli had been pulled out of Gaza in 2005. As for the West Bank (known for three millennia as Judea and Samaria, until Jordan changed the name to the “West Bank” in 1950 in order to efface the Jewish connection to the land), it is not “occupied” territory. For 3500 years, Jews have lived there, and that history explains why the League of Nations included Judea and Samaria in the territory assigned to the Mandate for Palestine, which was intended to become the Jewish state.

More than 70 million Christians from 175 countries are expected to unite on October 4, 2026, in what organizers describe as the largest annual prayer gathering for Israel in history during the 24th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ).

Hosted by Eagles' Wings and its founder Bishop Robert Stearns, the event will be broadcast live from the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum and will bring together more than 500 senior Christian leaders from 50 countries in Jerusalem.

The gathering will include official delegations from Nigeria, Kenya, and Togo, featuring senior government officials, the First Ladies of Nigeria and Kenya, and the King and Queen of Togo, highlighting growing international support for Israel.

Also attending will be 175 Latin American Christian leaders, led by Rev. José Wellington Costa Jr., General Superintendent of Brazil's Assemblies of God, a denomination with more than 33 million members that forms part of a global Protestant movement of over 90 million believers in 212 countries. Together, the Latin American delegations represent more than 51 million Christians.

Bishop Stearns said: "This is far more than a prayer event. It is a global declaration that Israel is not alone. At a time when the Jewish people face extraordinary challenges, tens of millions of Christians are choosing to stand publicly with Israel, pray for her peace, and reaffirm the unbreakable bond between our people."

The problem is that he knows all of this and yet he says it anyway because he needs to attack him and he doesn’t have a legitimate vector. Besides, just saying he’s a Jew.

With regard to "Judeo Christian":

The 10 Commandments are Jewish.

The great stories of the Old Testament are Jewish.

The Jews developed the idea of subsidiarity as the alternative to tyranny and slavery.

The Jews established the cultural preconditions for the rise of universal literacy.

The fate of Israel at the hands of the Islamists is the fate of the West.

This rising tide of anti-semitism sickens me. Those of you engaging in it for your oh-so-moral reasons—you're despicable.

The people of Germany and Japan both achieved miraculous economic recoveries after WWII with just a fraction of the aid given to Palestinians in Gaza.

Germany and Japan received roughly $250 to $300 per person, sparking the greatest economic triumphs in human history.

It took Germany just 10 years and $1.44 billion in foreign aid to go from ruins to a top industrialized economy.

It took Japan a mere 15 years and $2.20 billion in foreign aid to go from a nuked, hopeless ruin to a global technology powerhouse.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip received global solidarity and over $45 billion in international aid from the US, EU, UK, and UN over the last three decades, only to devolve into a heavily dependent Islamist dictatorship and terror hub.
