#OTD 105 yrs ago at 11pm the 6th Bav. Res. Div. was ordered to take Wijtschate. A few hours later soldiers of the 17th and 21th Bavarian Res. Inf. Reg. would silently launch their assault. Rifles unloaded, bayonets fixed. For both regiments it was to be their baptism of fire.
