🚨 Arsenal could make ANOTHER DEFENSIVE SIGNING before the transfer window closes.

According to ESPN Brazil, Arsenal are among the clubs interested in 19-year-old Santos centre-back João Ananias, alongside Brentford, Atlético Madrid and Besiktas.

Besiktas are currently the only club to have submitted a CONCRETE OFFER for the teenager.

Benfica reportedly came close to signing Ananias for around £6M in June, but failed to reach an agreement with Santos. The Brazilian club are now using that figure as a reference point for any new negotiations.

Ananias is under contract with Santos until 2030, but the club’s financial situation could force them to consider a sale.

Arsenal have already strengthened their defence this summer with Ezri Konsa, while also adding Bruno Guimarães in midfield.

If Ananias arrives, Arsenal would have EIGHT players capable of playing at centre-back: William Saliba, Gabriel, Ben White, Jurrien Timber, Cristhian Mosquera, Piero Hincapié, Riccardo Calafiori and Konsa.
