Today, we crossed 20,000 customers and 300+ events across three countries.

Next, we’re building the Shopify for event organizers, and we want to hire an early-stage U.S-based sales rep (equity + commission only) to help build the future of how events are run online.

When we started TROOP as a ticketing platform, our goal was simple: help event organizers sell tickets and manage their events as simply and affordably as possible. What we didn’t expect was how clearly the market would reveal a bigger problem.

We realized ticketing platforms don’t actually help organizers build strong businesses.

Instead, they:
Weaken event brands: attendees end up remembering the ticketing platform, not the organizer’s brand

Create competition: organizers are placed next to similar events, reducing direct ticket sales

Charge high, unnecessary fees that could otherwise go back to organizers or attendees

We know this because we’ve been in the ticketing space for two years and have seen it firsthand.

To solve this, we’re creating a new way for organizers to run their events online.

We’re building what we call the Shopify for event organizers.

Organizers can now launch their own event website, sell tickets and merch directly on their site, and manage payments, promotions, and transactions through TROOP, all without sending attendees elsewhere.

We launched the first version and already have paying subscribers in both the U.S. and Nigeria. Some organizers have even prepaid for multiple months.

As we double down in this direction, we’re looking to bring on an early-stage U.S.-based sales rep who can grow into a leadership role and own U.S. sales and distribution, in exchange for equity + commission.
