@emilymanzerrr I think it's difficult because Canada is kind of huge and dwarfed culturally by the southern neighbour but I have found my friends in the Maritimes to be culturally familiar. NZ feels kind of its own thing, same with Aussie and there is a natural link there through trade and war
@Raymolly1414944@KiwiStreamNZ Rapid assessment is a triangle of three factors: proportional threat, capacity of harm, likelihood. She hit with an element of surprise and then stopped, there's no winning for her past that one slap unless she is a trained fighter or has a weapon
@NZNationalParty Imagine saving 88 seconds only to realise that your destination is the shittest city in New Zealand, I suppose the benefits are in reverse though, in that if you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in that terrible place you can beat a hasty retreat
@ChrisWillx Probably a Labrador based on population, they are kind of a big dog with a reasonably powerful jaw and don't always appear outwardly threatening
@hexles@matt_horncastle It can be understood as 'the pathway of rats'. There is a Parakiore in Whangฤrei and it was named when rats were a useful source of food
@matt_horncastle There is also a Parakiore in Whangฤrei and it was along the spur of a ridge where rats travelled, from when rats were a useful source of food and the name can be literally understood as 'the pathway of rats'
@elonmusk A beautiful thing your team has made here, so clean - something is almost always beautiful when there is nothing to take-away. The engine wouldn't look out of place in an art gallery
