I love this film from England, 1901. We’re close enough that it’s not just a crowd of people. You can see all the individual personalities of the children showing off, jostling their friends and pulling faces to the camera. It’s worth watching twice.
@smithsmm@greeborunner@PaulWat5@m_chiles I worked in a primary school where the parents paid a small amount (think a couple of £'s) each year towards pens, pencils etc.
@bphillipsonMP Pay and conditions for supply teachers are abysmal. Many are paid below the minimum pay rate on national scales, not able to pay into Teachers Pension Scheme whilst agencies make huge profits. Would I,retired teacher, formerly paid at UPS3 , want to risk my health? Not one bit.
Bruce Forsyth and Norman Wisdom at the London Palladium (3rd December 1961). Due to an Equity strike, they (as members of the Variety Artistes' Federation who weren't on strike) were the only turns on that week's edition of Sunday Night at the London Palladium ....
Why did 265 Conservative MPs vote down an amendment to stop private water companies from dumping raw sewage into the UK’s rivers and coastlines?
I’m genuinely baffled 🤷♂️
Emma Raducanu WOW! Apparently even Gavin Williams is a big tennis fan! He says he's always loved the game ever since he saw Marcus Rashford score a century at Twickenham in straight sets on the PGA tour.
@MrGPrimary I was having lunch with a journalist as we worked in the same building and she got the call - we didn't even wait for our food..... Watched the second plane on the screens and realised it was no accident.
Trying to set up a new twitter account, got email verification and it should also send a verification code by text, but nothing received. Requested resend, still nothing and now it says I've reached my limit and need to try again in 24 hours! It's there a problem #twitterhelp
I usually don't unsubscribe to company emails if I've made a purchase from that company. But why would they think sending two promotional emails per day, clogging up my inbox is what I want? It will prompt me to unsubscribe.....
@oldandrewuk I use one called pedometer step counter, no need for any personal data. It's free and has two white footprints on a re/background. Hope that helps.
