About 80 conditions can be described as autoimmune disorders, although definitions are still changing. This list shows how common each disorder is, which body parts are stricken, and the illnesses’ tendency to afflict women. https://t.co/9goU42Kp0h
No one needs to implant microchips into vaccines when everyone is walking around with a smartphone, asking questions to smart speakers, and driving around in connected cars.
Using this tech for something as benign as grocery shopping will make it more acceptable to the public but it's not too far of a leap to see it used for other kind of surveillance. This is powerful stuff, I just don't trust Amazon or anyone one using it.
Most people will welcome the convenience but it comes at the cost of Amazon having more of your personal data. The disheartening part is they are licensing out the tech to other places. Le sigh.

Thinking about friends who I haven't talked to in years, I always wonder if we would still be friends if we met for the first time now. I'd like to reconnect with them but it feels kind of weird to "cold call" out of the blue, they'll think I'm looking for a kidney or something.

Just saw a commercial for an "ugly" fruit/veg company but they neglect to mention almost all of the food waste is at the consumer level. Ugly foods typically get processed so there is less waste than these companies suggest. People are the problem so always clean your plate.
The locals of these cities/towns won't like that new people are "taking over" plus they newcomers are getting paid to do it. While I don't think a lot of people who move to these places realize how different of a lifestyle change it can be.
Keep reading stories about how cities/states are recruiting individuals with cash incentives. It's mostly conservative/rural places trying to entice younger (likely liberal) people to move there and it feels like everyone involved has not thought it through
The purpose of a social safety net is to protect people in times of need. This last year was a glimpse of a social safety net with fewer holes in the form of stimulus checks, eviction bans, etc.

One more reason to get rid of pennies - a lot of asshats are using them to make spiteful payments.
Shame on him and good on the mother/daughter for taking the high road.
