Our 2nd grade Connected Learning students voted to donate food and supplies to the Denton Animal Shelter for their end-of-year party. They toured the facility and had a "Day at the Beach" party at North Lakes Park. They had a great time.

Some of our 2nd grade Connected Learners came into school today to join our F2F learners for a virtual field trip to Clear Creek. It was a fun day! Thank you to the Master Naturalists for the wonderful presentations. #TexansLearning

We are celebrating Earth Day today at Sam Houston. Thank you PTA for providing ice cream today for all the students who came to school today in an “Earth Friendly” way!

Following the removal of the state-wide mask mandate by @GovAbbott effective March 10, Denton ISD remains committed to the protocols currently in place, including wearing face coverings.

Donations can be dropped off in the McMath office all this week during the school day or from 4-6pm in the back of Blanton Elem. March 1st-4th.

Our 2nd grade Connected Learning Class had a belated Valentine’s Party today. They had lots of fun and it was great to see them in person.

Sam Houston will not be open Tuesday, February 23rd for Face to Face or Connected Learning due to water damage to the building resulting from busted frozen pipes. Free Lunches for Sam Houston students will be passed out in the front of the school Monday and Tuesday from 12-2.

Houston will not be open 2/22 for F2F or CL students due to water damage resulting from busted frozen pipes. Repairs will be completed Mon and school will resume for all students on 2/23. For more information check the email that was sent to Houston parents by Mrs. Andress 2/19.
