In 1880, she helped found the Rosary Sisters, the first Palestinian religious congregation. On 17 May 2015, Pope Francis canonized her, making her the first Palestinian Arab woman saint of the modern era. Palestine is not only the land where Christianity was born, it is also the land of saints.
