@BoomtownHoops The media and narratives surrounding this series were just disgraceful from commentary to production to casual fans it was just terrible and very one sided and it made this loss stink a lot more for the fanbase. Don’t know if I’ve seen this since maybe 2019 Warriors if that
@tmeire_@ChShersh And I’ve been Bob from state school. I didn’t have remarkable experience coming out of college but I had decent fundamentals and was qualified for most entry jobs I applied to but I mostly got callbacks from those that gave LC and/or take homes to all applicants
@tmeire_@ChShersh As an applicant I used to like the time bound take homes but w AI nowadays I do think Leetcode style assessments are best at assessing new grads (plus system design). How else can you know if Bob from state school can actually code and knows a bit of CS so you can develop him
@HedgieMarkets The labs probably make the same margins on all their model classes so this is probably going to be a situation where the labs start funneling more work and tasks through to the less intelligent models. Anthropic is already setting the ground work with their advisor agent flow
Saw a full replay for OKC vs GSW G1 of the WCF and decided to check out the 2nd half. It’s incredible how much basketball has evolved from who’s on the assistant coaching staff all the way to the defensive schemes. I can confidently say 2026 OKC beats the 2016 Warriors.
@JonSchweppe That’s not how that works. FanDuel has SAS at 95% and Minnesota at 8% while Kalshi has it at 91% vs 11% so betting Minnesota on Fan Duel gets the bettor a better payout. Not commenting about what’s better just calling out a clear mistake.
@StorgaardMikkel@william_fitz Of course not. Luckily I still benefit a lot more if the global leader in AI is an American company and not a Chinese company.
@k_macC_@william_fitz Also the phrasing in that thread was clearly very biased and hyperbolic so I take it all w a grain of salt. If a kid harms themselves there will be complaints about lack of oversight on kid’s data and if they collect the data it’s mass mandated harvesting.
@k_macC_@william_fitz Yes. I might have an overly cynical view but the way things are going right now everyone isn’t disclosing they have been paid for all sorts of promotions. The info harvesting will happen anyways. Again I don’t think there’s a conspiracy w ppl being caught real bad
@LebronisonPEDS@Tuff__Crowd …but I don’t think playing or not playing AAU in 4th grade is why a kid goes to play D1. My take is fundamentals and instinct are king and a 4th grader can get that playing at the park with older kids
@LebronisonPEDS@Tuff__Crowd You’re talking about them competing for D1 spots. That’s less than 1% of all players. When a kid is in high school if they’re actually really good they’ll be taken care of. That’s what he’s saying. If we’re talking about a 4th grader then yeah it’s tough…
@Tuff__Crowd No one wants to say their kid isn’t top 10% but Brandon is on point. When I was in HS my neighbor he was really good (top 2%) teams asking him and his parents to play for them, coaches wanting to train them so that the coaches get to say they trained a D1 player to other kids.
@Tuff__Crowd AAU teams and the trainers they’re scamming kids (and their parents). If someone’s not good enough to play at at least a top 10% level when in 7th grade onwards then they need to be practicing on your own and playing pick up not paying for coaches and AAU
