Kasese Catholic Diocese, which had been scheduled to lead this yearโs Martyrsโ Day national celebrations at Namugongo, held its main Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral in Kasese Municipality.
In his homily, Bishop Francis Aquirinus Kibira called on believers to become โmartyrs of truth,โ urging them to uphold integrity and remain steadfast in their faith.
The service was conducted in line with Ministry of Health guidelines, including handwashing and social distancing, amid concerns about the spread of Ebola.
Bishop Kibira also cautioned leaders against corruption and speaking ill of others in pursuit of political office.
