Sports facilitator 🏉🏑⚾. Maintenance/Upkeep of artificial/natural sports surfaces and Grounds to facilitate a range of external/internal sports participation
Great to see the University of Galway @ConnachtGAA Air Dome reinflated following the damage caused by record-breaking winds during Storm Éowyn last year.
As the world’s largest sports Air Dome, the facility features a full-size GAA pitch, indoor running track, integrated performance testing facilities, 2,000- 5000 spectator capacity and conference capacity of 10,000 people, providing a unique high-performance environment for athletes and teams.
TOBIN are proud to have been involved in both the original development and the redevelopment of this landmark facility. The upgraded design incorporates a rapid deflation system, enabling the structure to be safely secured in advance of severe weather events and improving its long-term resilience.
Congratulations to everyone involved and in particular Connacht GAA, PRUNTY CONTRACTS LIMITED and DBS Engineering Ltd in delivering this project. We look forward to seeing the Air Dome back in full use this summer! 🏐🏃

@fiannafailparty@jackfchambers Appointing "Decision Makers " is hardly providing care for people. You are just adding another layer of management to an already shambles of a health service.
Simon Harris taking no flippin feckology from the orange one!

Can you use a Fraze Mower on a stitched field?
The answer is yes.
One of the most common misconceptions about stitched pitches is that the synthetic fibers prevent major renovation work. In reality, a Fraze Mower can be used successfully on stitched surfaces when the operation is properly planned and executed.
The key is precision.
The frazing depth is carefully controlled to remove the organic layer and surface vegetation while preserving the synthetic fibers installed within the profile. This allows the field to be renovated while maintaining the structural benefits provided by the stitching system.
In this video, you can see the process taking place at Neo Química Arena, the stadium that hosted the opening match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and where World Sports continues to provide technical support today.
A great example of how modern turf technologies work together to extend the life, performance, and resilience of elite sports fields.
Over time, you will notice infill levels in your surface drop.
There could be a variety of reasons for this, but one thing is for certain: our infill top-ups will ensure your surface is safe and performing its best for players.
@MichealMartinTD Will the developer be investing in the necessary transport infrastructure, school, sport and health facilities to ensure people have a quality of life.
⚽ Project Update ⚽
We have started the reconstruction of the Fratton Park stadium pitch, home of @Pompey.
The existing surface is being replaced with a PlayMaster carpet from @GrassMaster1989 ahead of the 2026/27 Championship season.

A very very important guest this morning, with @rachaelblackmor and Bowie coming down to Knockeen to meet the team…we wonder how long it will be until we see him back here riding out!!
“We’ve dug out circa 7000 tonnes of material… new drainage, new irrigation, undersoil heating - a complete reconstruction from the ground up.”
