Because the people of California are not happy with the way things are going in this state. You can see that from every single survey that's been done. A majority of Californians think that the state is going in the wrong direction.

So we will be in the top two as the only campaign offering a new direction for California. And so when people say, "How are you going to win in California as a Republican? My question is, How will a Democrat win based on the record that they are putting before the people and offering no change at all? We're offering change, which is what a majority of Californians want”

- Highest Homelessness in US with 180,000 unhoused
- Billions spent with worsening outcomes.
- Median home price $800,000+ affordability crisis
- Prop 47 enabled smash-and-grabs; businesses fleeing cities like SF and LA.
- Nation’s highest gas, electricity, and overall expenses
- Massive budget deficits with chronic overspending despite massive tax revenue; repeated shortfalls.
- Failing education rated among the worst reading and math scores nationally despite top per-pupil spending.
- High green mandates leading to blackouts and highest rates in continental U.S.
- Net domestic out-migration with companies relocating to Texas and Florida
- Unchecked power after 16+ years with constant scandals and corruption
